HSBC Bangladesh (DAK) wanted to create a software on FDI Reporting, which is aquarterly report of customers of HSBC whose have foreign direct investment in BD,submitted to Bangladesh Bank through HSBC. Reports will be as per BB preformattedhard copy and RIT format as soft copy. The purpose of the project was to build asystem that automates the process of generating report as per Bangladesh Bank FIMaster Report format and in RIT, in order to minimize manual contribution andensure accuracy and enhance monitoring. The main user for this solution is HSBCcustomers.

AB Bank Leave Management

AB Bank needed to automate their leave management system. They have a prettycomplicated leave system, like any bank or large organization where someoneapplies for leave, then he requests somebody else to cover his time, once that personapproves, it goes to supervisor to approve. Not only that, he needs to track howmany leaves have pending, whether leaves are approved or not, etc. Supervisor needto see who is in leave when so that he can arrange tasks accordingly.

Thakral Ltd. is provider of AB Bank Ltd. Thakral is one of the leading vendor ofMicrosoft Products and they provided the license and deployment of SharePoint andother servers to AB Bank. However, since Thakral didn’t have developers inBangladesh, it made more sense to partner with Brain Station 23 Limited to developthe SharePoint application. We partnered together and delivered the applications.We sat with them to understand their requirement in details. Then we made thesolution in the test environment and finally delivered the application.


Here we customized the leave form using asp.net and C#, for calculating remainingleave days and adding leave days we used scheduler etc.

Brain Station 23 Limited developed the mSFA- Mobile Sales Force Automation Appsfor Incepta Pharmaceuticals limited. This features rich, dynamic mobile base Appshelp Incepta’s sales force (MPO) to do everyday’s operations effectively anderrorless. This Android Phone base Apps developed on Java Eclipse and itsimultaneously synced data with Web Service.

Offline FunctionalityUnique feature of this app is, someone can store order in the app and later whenconnected with internet can sync the data. This makes the app usable withoutinternet. Another very important feature is, without internet, using SMS only, theorder can be placed as well.

BackgroundPrimarily Incepta using a JAVA application deployed on Java Phone and SMS channelfor order taking, stock information checking and requisition; which is a timeconsuming and not real time solution. After getting the solution from us, now theMPO’s using the mSFA Apps on their Android base smart phone, through which theycan take order, real time stock checking, sample requisition, Doctors call report andReport etc. Incepta can track MPO’s position through GPS location system.

Here Medical Representatives can log in using a username and password. Thisis based on their given phone number, so they don’t need to bother the systemadmin for this, they can get their password generated using the app and theirown SIM card.

This app syncs with the depot’s stock so that MPO can see how much order hecan place.

3. DOCTOR VISITING REPORT

British American Tobacco (BAT) needed a survey to understand the taste of the usersusing their products like Benson & Hedges. Initially they were doing it through paperand it was lot of hassle, not to mention the carbon footprint. People were not muchwilling to take part in survey.

We made this survey application which can be used in iPAD. Their people took thesurvey application to different places and took the survey. It had feature like takingpicture and signing authorization forms. It had powerful sync facility syncs all theiPad data with server using PHP web service. This sync makes sure that no data isduplicated or lost. This application is NOT FOR ITUNES because it is to be used onlyby BAT people. So, we made it that way to enable only selected iPads to install it.
