We at Coveme believe so, because this is simply what 40 years of engineering

polyester has taught us. We treat, coat, heat-stabilize and laminate PET for a

wide range of applications, and are proud to know that our materials give a vital

contribution “behind the scenes” to the most technically advanced devices in

everyday life. Over the years every challenge brought to us by our clients and

potential clients, from all over the world, has contributed to the growth of our

Milestones

1965: Foundation of Coveme Spa as distributor of electrical insulation materials

1976: Start of production of Nomex® based flexible laminates

1984: Start of the distribution of polyester film for flexible packaging

1991: Set-up of the first production line for TCA treatment

Quality Coveme’s R&D activites and manufacturing processes are completely focused

on high quality for high performance. For us, this means strict and consistent

Technology

Coveme has been converting polyester film for over 20 years and has successfully

developed sophisticated technologies in the production of high-tech films for various

industries. The value Coveme adds to the film is vital for its clients who, themselves,

work with advanced production processes.

Coveme has two production sites, one in Gorizia, Italy, and one in Zhangjiagang, China.

Carbon Footprint Coveme is currently investing in

balancing its Carbon footprint through 3

types of actions:

• In 2010, 100kW of solar panels have been installed on the roof of Coveme’s headquarters in Bologna.

• In June 2012, 158kw of photovoltaic modules will be installed on the rooftop of Coveme's Gorizia plant.

• Coveme is sponsoring "The Million Tree Project" : the project aims to plant one million trees in Inner Mongolia by 2014.

The two production sites of Coveme work in accordance with the latest standards

protecting the environment. Our goal is to control and optimize the energetic

consumption of our production processes, the storage of our base materials and

the waste handling.

PHOTOVOLTAIC

Today Coveme is the global leader in the

manufacturing and development of backsheets

based on high grade Pet, and the dyMat PYE®

range is the most sold backsheet worldwide.

dyMat PYE® is a high performance backsheet that

guarantees a long-lasting quality of a photovoltaic

module. It protects the solar cells from humidity,

harsh physical and chemical environments, and

guarantees total electrical insulation.

FLEXIBLE

CIRCUITRY

"Roll to Roll" and "Sheet to Sheet" printing

systems in the field of flexible circuitry require

a support that guarantees planarity and

dimensional stability as well as high adhesion

with conductive inks with the highest

conductivity.

Coveme meets these requirements with a

range of treated and heat stabilized polyester

films, ideal for high speed printing.

BIOMEDICAL

Coveme supplies some of the most important

multinational companies operating in the field

of biomedical diagnostics with polyester films

on which the reaction elements of chemical or

electronic analysis can be applied.

The range of products includes substrates

printable with conductive inks and enzymatic

pastes, gold-sputtered and hydrophilic layers,

besides other customized materials.

TRANSFER RELEASE

Coveme’s range of release coated polyester films for

the heat transfer of images onto fabrics are

environmental friendly, heat stabilized and in-line

treated. There are versions for CAD lettering, silk

screen, off-set of flexo printing, flock and casting of

PVC or polyuretane (PU). The product range

includes heat stabilized and treated polyester films

for both hot and cold transfer application, with

opaque or glossy finish.

ELECTRICAL

INSULATION

In the field of electrical insulation Coveme started in

the early '70s as a distributor for DuPont Nomex®

and Kapton®. The tight collaboration of the two

companies led Coveme to develop the production of

own technologically advanced materials for the

insulation of electrical machines (rotating and

static) that require maximum performance in a small

space and under high temperatures.

FLEXIBLE

PACKAGING

The product range offered by Coveme for the

flexible packaging market consists of products

based on polyester film (Pet) and Nylon that are

used in food packaging and the medical and

luxury industry. Coveme materials are also

available in metallized version.

HIGH

PERFORMANCE

FACESTOCK Coveme has successfully introduced specific

materials resistant to solvents, water, mechanical

abrasion and high temperature. Thanks to a

special coating, Coveme films can be printed

with laser, thermal transfer and ink jet printing

technologies and are compatible with a vast

range of inks, both in black, white and colour.

Furthermore, the process of in line heat-

stabilization of the film guarantees a high

planarity and register during the printing process.

DIFFERENT INDUSTRIAL

APPLICATIONS The special chemical treatment developed by

Coveme changes permanently the surface tension

of PET, making this plastic film an ideal support to

be coated with water, solvent and hot melt based

adhesive masses and systems, and also for resins

and abrasive coatings.

Coveme's product range includes also films that are

treated chemically and additionally heat stabilized

and coated in-line with specific coatings that make

them suitable as a support for photopolymer plates.
