WASAUSINK LANDS INC. INCOME TAX PROGRAM
In 2017 Wasausink Lands Inc. introduced a new program (Income Tax Program) to WFN Community members on and off reserve. It came to our attention that there was a need for this type of program/service and that would be affordable.
In February of 2017, WLI introduced the Income Tax program. The goal of this program was to help Wasauksing First Nation community members learn to prepare a basic personal tax return and completed their 2016 Income tax. WLI offered the program and assisted 20 community members on and off reserve and of those community members we were able to assist 9 elders and this was all free to WFN community members.
We received such positive feedback and compliments from the community members that accessed the program that we will be running the program again.
WLI will be offering the program once again for individuals to completed their 2017 Income tax. The program will run from February 15th, 2018 to April 30th, 2018.
We hope to assist and teach new and returning community members with how to prepare their own returns.
Please see flyer inside this newsletter with what is required to take part in the Income Tax Program, offered by Wasausink Lands Inc.
Any questions please contact our office at 705-746-7601 or email [email protected] and speak to Amanda King.
