THANK YOU to all of the individuals, families and organizations that stood alongside us this year to make a difference for Arizona’s children and families. Inside these pages, you will find our greatest successes and see that each gift you made to Arizona’s Children creates real change. Your funds are put to work in the most fiscally resourceful ways to provide the best possible outcomes for the children and families in our community. We hope you share in the pride that we feel knowing that because of you, we are able to make a lasting difference in the life of every child that comes through our doors.

Our ongoing five-year strategic plan continues to revolve around our five primary initiatives: expanding and improving the community impact of our services, bringing out the best in our people, strengthening our community presence, pursuing innovation, and increasing our financial strength. With our strategic plan as our guide, and you by our side, we continue to remain at the forefront of the child welfare and behavioral health fields and serve as a standard in Arizona and beyond for high quality services and ethical accountability.

Our newly formed Employee Advisory Committee has been working hard to meet the needs of our statewide staff. As part of our strategic goal, bringing out the best in our people, the committee is focused on building a strong company-wide team culture that recognizes and embraces our shared core values and vision:

Our vision is that every Arizona family has the resources and support needed to be safe, strong and resilient.

Join us in our effort to continue being the best resource for Arizona’s children and families. Become part of our family — sign up to mentor, become a foster or adoptive parent, volunteer, or donate to help us impact Arizona in a big way.

On behalf of our Board of Directors, entire staff, and all of the children and families we serve, thank you for making a difference!

Sincerely,

Dear Arizona’s Children Family,

Protect Children, Empower Youth, Strengthen Families.

Our Mission:

Because of you, we are making a big difference!

*Contribution expenses of approximately $2 million were recognized during this fiscal year as part of our strategic plan to refocus on our mission and realign our service array. Non-cash contribution expenses were recognized as a result of program and asset transfer agreements for Golden Gate

Community Center and Southern Arizona Center Against Sexual Assault. While these noncash adjustments negatively affected our financial performance, the transfers are providing positive benefits to the local communities through enhancement of existing programming. Transfer expenses were to be

amortized over a longer term; however, the agencies are self-sufficient and nonperformance risk is minimal so the transfers were finalized in this fiscal year.
