Annual Report 2015-2016

This year Community Health Alliance celebrated 20 years of providing quality health care to patients, regardless of ability to pay. We continued to honor the legacy of the HAWC Community Health Center and St. Mary’s Mission and Outreach Programs by offering innovative programs focused on the whole person, extending dental services to those in need, and educating families on the importance of nutrition for good health.

In February, we opened our Center for Complex Care; an innovative health center using a team approach to helping pa-tients with complex medical and behavioral health problems. A primary care provider, licensed clinical social worker and care coordinator work together along with our caring support staff to help each patient.

2016 also saw the launch of the CHA Healthy Weight Program. Dr. Steve Shane, CHA pediatrician, started this innova-tive program to address the problem of childhood obesity.

CHA dental services were expanded to address the community's needs. Through a generous grant from the Renown Foundation, Dr. Brandi Dupont, CHA Chief Dental Officer, implemented a plan to provide dental services to seniors at Sierra Manor and to pregnant women at the Renown Pregnancy Center.

We are very grateful to our staff and to all of you for the help and support you give us. In 2016, we served almost 30,000 patients in Washoe County with quality, innovative programs. We look forward to doing even more in the coming years. Thank you.
