Richmond Advisory Committee January meeting
The last meeting was held on 24 January 2017. Some of the matters discussed included:-*the proposed Torrens Street Sewage Pump Station upgrade project to be carried out by Taswater* initial listing of various projects for possible inclusion in Council’s 2017/18 Capital Works project. A priority list is to be finalised at the next meeting and will be forwarded to Council for consideration.*information on a new handrail on the western side of the Richmond Bridge.* progress report on construction of the new trail to the top of Brinktop.The next meeting of RAC is to be held on 21 February 2017. The historic town of Richmond is to participate in Epilepsy Tasmania's inaugural fundraiser Open Gardens for Epilepsy.
Six local gardens will open to the general public on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th March between 10am and 4pm. $5 entry per garden or $25 for all six gardens.
Visitors can purchase various morning and afternoon teas, a sausage sizzle and pot plants with all funds to be donated to Epilepsy Tasmania to ensure the ongoing improvement of the quality of life and community participation of Tasmanians
living with or affected by epilepsy.

The next meeting of the Coal river Valley Garden Club Inc will be a Special General Meeting to be held on Monday 27th February at 7.30pm in the Richmond Football Club Rooms, Guest Speaker Peter Manchester – ‘how technology can help the gardener’.The evening will also include:-
