SHOUTOUT TO THE SHUTOUT Matt Hague broke up last night’s shutout with his PH, RBI single in the top of the ninth ... The Indians have been held scoreless in just 22 of 400 regular-season games (5.5%)since the beginning of 2012, good for the second-fewest among all teams in the IL in that span (SWB, 20 of 398 games).

SLOW TO RISE Indy scored first in 50 of 94 games (52-42 record) but has since drawn first blood in just five of the last 17 dating to 7/10, G2 ... Including last night, opponents have scored in the first inning in eight of those last 17 games, while dealing the Indians a 4-13 record in that span.

TAILOR TRIBE-MADE DOUBLE PLAY The Tribe’s defense has turned at least one double play in six straight games (7/24), two or more twin-killings in four of those six tilts and 12 total DP in that span ... Indy’s 26 total DPs in 28 games during July trail only COL (27) and GWN (28) for the most in the IL this month.

YIN TO THAT YANGIndians batters have also rapped into a league-high 28 DP in 28 games of July, three more than any other team in the IL during the month.

RISPY BUSINESS Indianapolis went 10-for-35 (.286) with RISP through the first four-game road trip following the All-Star break, but have combined for just two more hits with RISP in 10 suc-cessive games (7/21-7/30) ... The Tribe is just 12-for-71 (.169) with RISP over the 10-game stretch.

POWER TRIP Tony Sanchez (1x3, 2B) has knocked each of his last six hits for extra bases (4 2B, 2 HR) and 10 of his last 14 since 7/10-G2 (7 2B, 3 HR) ... Despite his recent 3-for-24 skid, Sanchez ranks T-4th in the IL in XBH during July, driving 14 of 21 total knocks for extra bags (11 2B, 3 HR).

TONY TWO-BAGSSanchez has hit five more doubles than any Tribe batter during the month of July ... His team-high 11 two-baggers are second in the IL and T-2nd in all of Triple-A this month ... In addition, only six batters in MiLB have out-produced Sanchez’s 11 two-base performance this month.

HAMMERIN’ HAGUE Hague (1x1, RBI) returned for his first Triple-A game since 7/8 and responded by driving in his 60th run of 81 contests of 2014 ... Hague’s 60 RBI are T-4th in the IL this season, are his fourth-largest season total of his seven-year MiLB career, and are just 26 shy of his career-high 86 RBI in 135 games with Double-A Altoona in 2010.

JULY GUY Chase d’Arnaud (1x4, R, 2B) boasts hits in 19 of 23 starts in July and has reached base in all but one of those 23 appear-ances (7/24 vs. CHA) ... He has produced a team-high 27 hits this month and is batting .300 (27-for-90) during those starts.

CHASE IS CLUTCHd’Arnaud scored in Tuesday’s final frames and now leads the team by scoring six of the Tribe’s 49 ninth-inning runs ... He is 7-for-23 (.304) in the ninth with four of his seven hits going for extra-bases (2 2B, 2 3B); the four XBH are his most of any inning total.

SERIES SHOWDOWN The Tribe and Bisons meet today for the sixth of eight total tilts ... Indy took three of four at V.F. in May, has won 26 of the last 37 (7/27/09) and is 50-27 dating back to 2005.
