Two teams, two cities, reams of creative ideas… Both teams love design, art, fashion and new challenges. Inspired by Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol”, the three color themes of this magazine represent the Ghost of Christmas Past, the Ghost of Christmas Present and the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come (Fu-ture).

The fusion of Commonuncommon’s and Rawcut’s creativity and muse led to an extraordinary collaboration which took place in different urban locations in Zurich such as Papiersaal, where we shot the future themes. It has been a sleepless week where we produced our first project together and ended up in being highly respected and admired friends.

Our wish for this year’s Christmas? To inspire, amuse and seduce you…

1In the Victorian period, Ebenezer Scrooge was a skinflint businessman who loathed the Christmas season and begrudged having to give time off to his best employee. On Christmas Eve, Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his late friend and business partner who in the afterlife has come to see the errors of his ways. This friend arranges for Scrooge to be visited by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present, and Christmas Yet to Come in hopes of teaching Scrooge of the importance of embracing the joy of the holiday season. Scrooge finally reforms, learning to keep the spirit of Christmas alive in his heart, ultimately becoming a well-loved and respected man…
