Objective:• begin looking FOR interesting objects and subjects to photograph• start seeing things around you in a different way• study and analyze composition, lighting, shapes and pattern to create exciting and unusual collages• find common elements and themes in the objects and spaces around you• photograph them and compile them into a collage of common elements

In Your Sketchbook:• Brainstorm and compile a list of themes or

ideas… at least 20

• Narrow list to 3 themes/ideas and generate a potential list of subjects or objects in that theme… at least 10 for each of the 3 themes/ideas

What you’ll do:• Shoot a series of new pictures (40 image minimum contact sheet) of objects from one or two of the ideas you developed in your sketchbook.

• While shooting new pictures, use what you already know about composition and lighting.

What you’ll do:• Compile and edit your images into a photo collage

• Your photo collage must have a minimum of 6 images and a maximum of 20.

• Share your collage with the class discussing how you found, photographed and compiled them into a collage.
