Bishop Swanson will preach for this service and our Chancel Choir will be joining with a District Mass Choir to lead us in worship! We will also get to witness and celebrate those being called from our many District churches into ministry, like our very own Cory Phillips! UNITED METHODIST MEN BREAKFAST MEETING Men of the Church,

Please join us for the monthly Madison United Methodist Men's Club breakfast meeting Sunday, October 22, 2018

in the CLC. U.S. Army (Ret.) Col. Fred Shaw, district president of Mississippi United Methodist Men's Club, will

DELTA GRACE WEEKEND MISSION TRIP

(November 2-4, 2018)

We have a great opportunity for you or your family to show your commitment to discipleship by serving those in

need in Sunflower, MS. Delta Grace is a non-for-profit, multidenominational, faith-based organization that matches

mission teams with those in need of minor home repairs. A project manager is assigned to oversee the work at the

homes and assist the teams as needed.

We are organizing a work team to serve Delta Grace on Friday, November 2nd and ending on Sunday, November 4th.

You can work just one day (Friday or Saturday) if that will fit your schedule better; or, you can work both days

(Friday and Saturday). Team members are encouraged to stay Sunday morning for worship with Sunflower UMC if

they can. SUMC serves as the hub for Delta Grace.

This is a family friendly organization. Anyone from age 7 to 97 can attend; so consider making it a family affair!

(All minors, 18 years or under, must be accompanied by a responsible adult).

To sign up (to serve and/or donate) go to www.madisonumc.org/deltagrace. DEADLINE is MONDAY, OCTOBER

15. If you need help or more information, please contact Carolyn Schussler at [email protected] or 904-403-

Wednesday nights in the Atrium beginning Sunday, Octo-

ber 14.

project costs.

Completed boxes may be dropped off in the church office

or Atrium any time before Sunday, November 11.

We are continuing what Jesus started…

Every shoebox gift delivered by Operation Christmas Child is a tangible expression of God’s amazing love.

But a shoebox is just the beginning. It also presents an opportunity in more than 100 countries for our

church partners to invite children into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. Pray for God’s blessing as

we continue to share His love with children around the world
