Similar to GRAFIK Eye 4000 Series withthe addition of a central processor andoptional LCD controls for scene-basedcontrol of many dimming and switchingzones. Zoning is defined in system soft-ware. Feature Benefits

· Lutron Dimmers control all popular sources – incandescent, magneticlow-voltage, electronic low-voltage, fluorescent, neon/cold cathode,and HID (non-dim only).

· The common control architecture of GRAFIK Eye® and CentralizedLighting Control System allows the products to be operated as one system and maintain the same user interface.

· Optional Wallstations and Control Interfaces provide additional capabilities, such as infrared or radio frequency control, manual sceneand zone selection, sequencing, partitioning, contact closures, andastronomical timeclock, as well as capability to interface with RS-232 and DMX512 protocols.

· Lutron’s optional Designer software allows for faster system design.

· With Lutron’s patented filter circuit technology (RTISS™ –Real TimeIllumination Stability System), the microprocessor compensates forincoming line-voltage variations, such as changes in RMS (Root MeanSquare) voltage, frequency shifts, harmonics, and line noise. LutronDimmers are capable of maintaining constant light levels with no visible flicker under conditions of a ± 2% change in RMS voltage percycle and a ± 2Hz change in frequency per second.

· All Lutron Dimmers have Power-Failure Memory–once power isrestored, all lighting zone levels and preset scenes return to their statusprior to the emergency condition, not a preset default or full on or off.

· Terminal blocks provide for simple installation.

· Installation instructions are available in multiple languages.Contact Lutron or visit the Lutron website for more information.

· GRAFIK Eye products are designed with an intuitive approach to setting light levels. Programming of preset scenes is accomplished without the use of “enter,”“store,”or “learn” buttons.

· Optionally, preset scene levels and fade times can be set with Windows®-based PC software offering the precision of saving light levels in 1%increments (with 3500 and 4500 Models and Centralized LightingControl Systems). The software allows preset scenes to be saved oruploaded for archiving purposes.

· In the event that some spaces require tamper protection, there are fourlevels of electronic protection available.

· Lutron products are designed with common architecture from wallboxchoices to dimming panels, for simple user interface and programming.

· Lutron Panels include one standard dimmer card that can control all popular sources–incandescent, magnetic low-voltage, electronic low-voltage, neon/cold cathode, fluorescent and HID (non-dim only).

· Lutron’s 2Link™ option allows a panel to accept two data protocols simultaneously so that an architectural space can be operated by an architectural control system, like Lutron’s GRAFIK Eye® 4000,Centralized Lighting Control System, and a theatrical system operated by DMX512 protocol, such as a theatrical console.For more information, see pg.151.

· Lutron provides an air gap off for every circuit in its panels. Lutron uses an air gap for all its products; when you select “off”at a Lutron Wallstation, all power is removed from the lighting circuit.

· Lutron Dimmers incorporate a solid-state switching device that operates at 20ºC (68ºF) below its rated temperature without the use of fans.These dimmers are also designed to withstand surges of 6000V, 3000A(equivalent to a near lightning strike) as specified by ANSI/IEEE StandardC62.41 without impairment to performance.

· With Lutron’s patented filter circuit technology, RTISS™ –Real TimeIllumination Stability System–Lutron Panels compensate for incoming line-voltage variations, such as changes in RMS (Root MeanSquare) voltage, frequency shifts, harmonics, and line noise. Lutron Dimmers are capable of maintaining constant light levels with no visibleflicker under conditions with a ±2% change in RMS voltage per cycle and a ±2Hz change in frequency per second. · Lutron Dimmers and Switching Relays are capable of withstanding inrush current 50 times operating current. With its patented technologyused in Lutron’s XP Softswitch™ Panel, Lutron’s relay does not arc when it turns on or off. Lutron has verified an average rated relay life of1,000,000 cycles (on/off).

· Where emergency circuits are required, selected circuits in Lutron Panelsimmediately go to a ”full-on“ condition when normal power fails. Formore information, see Application Notes, pg.176.

· Lutron Panels include Power Failure Memory – once power is restored,all lighting zones return to their status prior to emergency condition,not a default or full on or off.

· Lutron Panels are completely preassembled. Under Lutron’s Quick ShipProgram, standard panels typically ship in three to five business days from receipt of approved drawings.

· Lutron Panels are capable of operating from various power voltage sources—single phase, split phase, or three phase (Delta feeds or Wyefeeds)—and can operate from normal power, constant hot, generator,or UPS system with true sine wave output and be rated for dimming applications, maximum of 10% THD.
