Midea R22 Tropical Split Type Air Conditioners are designed and manufactured to meet the requirements of all kinds of large space occasions’ air conditioning and the tropical climate places.There are 3 sizes (totally 6 models) outdoor unit to match 2 types (duct type and floor standing type, totally 11 models) indoor unit. The units are designed to working in a wide ambient temperature: 21~52°C in cooling; -10~24°C in heating, to adapt to different kinds of applications and climate environment.R22 Tropical Split Type Air Conditioners are completely assembled, internally wired, charged outdoor unit with R22 refrigerant at the factory, tested before shipment and ready for installation. They are widely applied in large space occasions such as supermarkets, shopping malls, hotels, airport waiting halls, etc.

An outdoor unit matches any types of indoor unit with the same capacity.Two kinds of outdoor unit, cooling only type and cooling & heating type, meet different application requirements.Compact size, easy to transport, flexible to install.
Outdoor unit: axial fan directly drive by 3-phase asynchronous motor;Indoor unit: centrifugal fan directly drive by single phase asynchronous motor.Direct drive, less wear parts, higher efficiency.
The heat exchanger fins are coated with anticorrosive and hydrophilic layers. These special coated layers serve as protection against corrosion from air, water and other corrosive agents, assures longer coil life and save maintenance cost.Inner-thread condensing pipe enhance heat exchange efficiency.Large capacity axial fan increase the heat exchange in the condenser.Copper pipe and aluminum fin have passed 600 hours Salt Spray Test.

Units are completely assembled, internally wired, charged outdoor unit with refrigerant at the factory. The site work is just installation of connecting refrigerant pipe and communication wire between outdoor unit and indoor unit. Refrigerant pipes are threaded connections, no welding at site.

Mechanical specificationsUnit casing is constructed of heavy gauge galvanized steel plate. Both side of the casing is waterproof and anti-corrosion coated. Unit panel structure is allow to maintenance on one side of the unit. Service panels are removed easily and reinstalled by removing bolts. The inside of indoor unit panels will be covered with 10mm insulation to prevent heat and noise coming out. Units are available for forklift transportation.
All units are equipped with direct-drive, hermetic, scroll type compressor, and it’s build-in motor is cooled with suction gas. The voltage utilization range is ±10% of unit nameplate voltage. The compressors, incorporating a buit-in muffler, are mounted on springs within a steal housing to give a low noise level.An electric heater around the compressor crankcase to ensure stability starting.
Inner-threaded, 7.94mm copper tubes mechanically bonded to a configured hydrophilic aluminum fin is standard for the outdoor heat-exchanger. The one which is equipped in indoor unit is standard configurated with 9.52mm copper tubes. All the coils are leak tested at 4.4Mpa at the factory to ensure the pressure integrity. All the indoor units are standard configurated a condeansate drain pan.
The outdoor fan is multi-blade vane-axial type, made of Aluminum alloy for quiet operation and durability. It is directly drive by waterproof motor to ensure reliable continuous operations. Statically and dynamically balanced drive motor design with maintenance-free bearing for outdoor installation.
The indoor fan is forward-curved blade centrifugal fan. Impeller and casing are made of galvanized steel sheet. The high quality ball bearings are air-sealed with preset lubricating oil. They are coated after assembly in order to provide corrosion resistance. The fan is directly drive by a waterproof motor. The fan and motor assembly is tested and dynamic balanced in the factory.

The unit with 3-phase power supply is equipped with phase sequence protector as standard. These devices protect motors and compressors against problems cause by phase lack, phase imbalance and phase reversal indication.When the voltage is above or below the normal range, it works and prevents unit from suffering voltage fluctuations.
Three-phase protector
Units are completely factory-wired with necessary controls and wiring terminals for power wiring. Microprocessor controls the cooling, heating and ventilating modes in response to signals from sensors measuring indoor and outdoor temperatures. It will keep accurate temprature control, minimzes drift from set point and provide better building comfort.
