ARPANET= Advanced Research Projects Agency Network developed by the
United States Department of Defense during the Cold War, was the world's 1st
packet switching network, and the predecessor of the Internet.
Hard and Soft Bounce• Hard Bounce-A hard bounce is the failed
delivery of an e-mail due to a permanent reason like a non-existent address
• Soft Bounce- A soft bounce is an e-mail message that gets as far as the recipient's mail server but is bounced back undelivered because the recipient's inbox is full

Internet and Intranet• Internet-an electronic communications
network that connects computer networks around the world
• Intranet- private computer network with a firewall, business
POP
• Post office Protocol, helps re-route your e-mail to the proper location.
Phishing
• A way that people try to get your credit card and financial information through e-mail and internet scams.
Encryption and Decryption
• Encryption- Scramble text so that it is secure• Decryption- When you descramble the text.
Netiquette
• Netiquette is the guidelines for posing messages to online services, and internet newsgroups. Covers not only rules to maintain civility in discussions.
Router
• A Router is a device that forwards data packets along networks. A router is connected to at least two networks. Routers are located at gateways, the places where two or more networks connect.
