Coming Up This Week
The Wisconsin Primary Election is coming on Tuesday (April 5), and that means it’s also time for another great P. W. Election Day Bake Sale! Our Presbyterian Women have elected to raise funds by providing some tasty choices for the voters visiting our church. Can you help by supplying any baked goods for the event? Drop off your donations in the church kitchen tomorrow (April 4). If you want to help or have more questions, call Julie Mackey at 217-8341.
Our next Simple Supper is coming on Wednesday (April 6)
at 5:45pm. Members of the Worship & Music Ministry and the
Leadership & Stewardship Ministry will join together to host a
great meal of lasagna, salad, garlic bread, and desserts, which
should get a thumbs up from almost everyone!
Our Contemporary Readers Group will meet this evening
at 5:30pm in the Koinonia Lounge. This month’s book will be
The Year of Living Biblically (One Man’s Humble Quest to Follow the
Bible as Literally as Possible) by A.J. Jacobs. Anneliese Waggoner
will lead a discussion about this examination of how Judeo-Christian
law shapes the lives of the faithful. Mr. Jacobs’ humorous style
should lead to some great conversation. Whether you’ve read the
book or not, everyone’s invited to join in.
Today is the first Sunday of a new month which is the time we celebrate Communion. It’s also the day we remind everyone to support the wonderful work of our Deacons. Their financial resources come directly through gifts from our church family, so please use the green envelopes in your pew rack and help their efforts.
Our Friday Family Flix for April is coming this Friday at 6pm. It’ll be fun for all ages because this month’s free feature is the 1994 animated classic “The Lion King.” There are plans for a light supper of Chef McPherson’s “Pulled Pumba” sandwiches, chips, and punch to be available for a small donation (to help cover costs). This one’s for everyone! Bring your family and friends, grab your beanbag, sleeping bag, or lawn chair, and join our jungle adventure Friday in the Family Life Center!
