There have been all sorts of journeys going on this week as part of our whole school Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths week. We had a journey back in time to age of dinosaurs with some palaeontology workshops and with the visit of Sophie a Tyrannosaurus Rex to Assembly.

Lots of classes have been out on journeys of their own learning to use local buses. 10R took a bus into Southampton to Mayflower Park where they spent time looking at plastic pollution.

STEM WEEK SPECIAL – On a Journey…..

11P also took a bus into Southampton although they spent time looking around the art galleries. There have been lots of experiments taking across STEM week looking at how different objects travel across land, sea and sky.

Over the week we have been on virtual reality journeys including into space using the latest technology and we have journeyed to the circus. Students in N16 have been enjoying sailing experiences on Testwood Lakes with the support of Sailability Charity

Thursdays in the Library have been very popular this term since Mrs Edwards has started bringing Florence into school. Florence (our unofficial school dog) loves having stories read to her and sitting on pupils laps whilst they have stories read to them.

Students in N16 have been collected crisps packets and other plastic bags and filling drinks bottles with them. These are then taken to the Recycling Shop in Southampton where they are turned into eco bricks for building.

Well done Carolina in 8J who has raised £240 for the Little Princess Trust and the School Charity by having her hair cut off in school on Monday.

Gardening Club Gardening Club is going well this term with lots of planting taking place. Right is Kelsey watering the radishes that she has grown in the Greenhouse.
