Introduction:

• Comics are a really fun way to tell stories in a short manner and with lots of drawings. They are a visual medium used to express ideas via images, often combined with text or visual information. Comics frequently take the form of juxtaposed sequences of panels of images. Often textual devices such as speech balloons, captions, and sound effects indicate dialogue, narration, or other information. Cartooning and similar forms of illustration are the most common image-making means in comics. Common forms of comics include comic strips, editorial and gag cartoons, and comic books.

• You will have get in groups of 3/4 and make a comic based on a scene from the short story “The Happy Prince” by Oscar Wilde.

Conclusion:

• Making a comic is a good way to see how well the students understood the story they read and also let them exploit their creativity in a fun and cooperative way working with peers creating a visual representation of what they have read.
