What s’Auba means?• It’s a foundation for

people with disabilities in Menorca.

• Its goal is to give a formation to disabled people. Also to prepare them for life and improve their lives.

Also, it offers other services to improve their life conditions, like:

-Maintenance service (dining

room).

-Regular shuttle service.

-Care and support services.

-Prevention services.

-Health monitoring, psycho

educational service.

-Service enablement,

rehabilitation personal and, or

social service orientation.

-Family complementary

services (sports, social, leisure

and free time ...).

-Temporary Assistance Service

for family (TSS).

Features

• It was created in 2007

• 75% of people who work there are disabled. They are people who have difficulties to get a job, but their disabilities aren’t much severe.

How many people work there?

• In Menorca, there are approximate 700 people who are working in different services.

• Nowadays, 130 people are working in s’Auba. In the past, there were180 workers.

Types of disabilities

• There are a lot of types of disabled people.

• It highlights the physical disabilities. Forexemple, people who have limbs amputated or people suffering an imitation of the spine.

• In addition, there are an elevate percentage of people who suffer mental disabilities.
