What is a comedy film?

Comedy film is a genre of film in which the main emphasis is on

humour. These films are designed to entertain the audience through

amusement, and often work by exaggerating characteristics of real life

for humorous effect.

Would I be able to make a

comedy film trailer?Comedy films do not often require advanced editing sofware and

special effects for explosions as they rely on humour to entertain.

I would be capable of producing a comedy film trailer, however, my

concerns are as follows...

What some people find funny others do not, comedy is subjective

Comedy either works or it doesn't. Writing a comic film often sees

experienced writers of comedy coming together to produce the final

product. Without any previous experience writing for comedy I may

struggle.

Sometimes the actors look or personality can make them more

comical. This would put very specific requirements on casting which

may prove difficult for a small scale film.
