Dear Valued Partner, This year, the Frankfort Park District is celebrating its 50th Anniversary. Over the years, the Park District has established itself as a leader in providing quality parks and recreational experiences to residents of all ages, interests and abilities. The District serves more than 16,000 residents, manages over 25 parks and facilities and provides recreational programs to 10,000+ participants annually. Since 1967, the District embraces the philosophy that parks and recreation services are an investment that adds value to the community. In honor of our 50th Anniversary, the Park District is hosting a “50 years of Fun” Celebration on July 22 at Main Park—where it all began back in 1967! The event will include a DJ with dance and trivia contests, a live band (5 Guys Named Moe), a classic car show, inflatables, games, arts and crafts area, a trackless train, bike decorating area followed by a bike parade and much more!
