With the Informant 2, you candetect the toughest leaks more effectively

thanks to its unique design. The Informant 2 includesa 20" probe that can be wrapped around the instrument and

used as a 3" probe, which allows you to find hard to reach leaksources quickly and easily. The probe end is tapered to a 0.2"diameter so you can get in between coils and fittings and gaineasy access to other hard to reach areas.A brushless fan mount-ed at the base of the probe draws the sample through the sensorensuring a fast response. The Informant 2 automatically focuseson and isolates a leak source even when high levels of back-ground vapors or refrigerant are present. The Informant 2 also features an audible indicator with a muteoption, as well as three visual leak indicators. LEDs light up insequence to show an increasing concentration of refrigerant orgas which can be seen from any position. And, a flashing light atthe tip of the probe prevents you from ever having to take youreyes off of your sampling location. These indicators are effectivein direct sunlight and when in the presence of significant back-ground noise.

Detector Tubes

You can accurately measure over 200 gases and vapors quicklywith this Multi-Gas Analyzer Kit. The actual operation is simpleand accurate. Just snap off both "break-away" ends of a tube, insert the tube into the hand-held pump, and pull the pump han-dle out. As the handle is pulled (just like a syringe), a precisely-measured volume of ambient air is drawn inside the tube where itcontact the reagent.Instantly, the reagent changes colour. The reagent reacts quanti-tatively to provide a length-of-stain indication. The farther thecolour-stain travels along the tube, the higher the concentrationof gas. Note the calibration mark on the tube at the point wherethe colour stain stops, and that's the measurement. It's safe, precise and fast.

Features:• Broad range of direct-reading tubes for over 200 substances• Sensitive and stable absorbing media provides for up to three

years shelf life• Precision piston pump without springs; provides

an accurate measurement upon you can rely

• "Fail Safe" locking handle elimi-nates incomplete samples

• Corrosion-resistant metal alloy construction

• Tube tip breaker is standard• No flow-rate orifice that clogs

or leaks• Most tubes require only one

pump stroke

INDOOR AIR QUALITY METER

Model Description Price

0560.5350 Indoor Air Quality Meter $912.00

M1794E

CO2 concentration is used as an indicator when assessingindoor air quality. If the CO2 concentration in indoor air istoo high, the air feels "stuffy and stale". Bad air quality canlead to fatigue, lack of concentration and illness (SickBuilding Syndrome) and is caused, in many cases, by insuf-ficient ventilation.

The CO2 concentration in demand controlledventilating (DCV) systems is used to regulatethe supply of fresh air. Stationary CO2 trans-ducers are used and should be checkedon a regular basis.

The indoor air to be measured diffusesthrough the particle filter in the measuringcell. At a certain wavelength, the radiationfrom the radiation source is absorbed bythe CO2 in the measuring cell. The higherthe CO2 concentration in the measuringcell, the lower the radiation intensitydetected. The detector then converts theincoming radiation to an electrical signal.Only theradiation wavelength needed for themeasurement is allowed by the optical fil-ter to pass through in the direction of thedetector.

The new CO2 sensor is based on the dual beam infrared absorptionprinciple. This CO2 sensor has many advantages; long-term stability, high accuracy and efficiency, as well as sensor calibration is notrequired. When compared to electrochemical measuring cells, theCO2 sensor does not show any cross-sensitivity to other gases.Additionally, the sensors are not "poisoned" if the concentration ofCO2 is too high. This new CO2 sensor has a measured value detec-tor and a reference detector so that environmental and disturbinginfluences such as ageing of the radiation source, are compensatedby the reference beam.
