In response to the huge demand of vocational and professional expertise in Hong Kong, Corporate Tech Academy Network (CTAN) is a newly-formed, comprising seven public academies and institutes in Hong Kong, namely CLP Power Academy, Hong Kong International Aviation Academy, Hong Kong Institute of Construction, HKPC Academy, MTR Academy and Towngas Engineering Academy, which receives secretarial support from IVE Engineering Discipline In-service Training Office.

Members of CTAN are experienced in talent-training and are committed to enhance talent quality in vocational and professional training. Chairman of CTAN and Principal of CLP Power Academy, Paul Poon Wai-yin reveals the mission of the Network, “Our top priority is to strengthen, improve and promote Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPET)”, and to recognize the significance of VPET in social development aspects. Meanwhile, by equipping the skilled and qualified professionals, as well as encouraging local youngsters to involve, we expect to see a group of promising talents that can energize Hong Kong’s sustainable development and eventually boost the culture of lifelong learning.”
Paul Poon added, “This Network, serving as a platform that benefits intercommunications and sharing of best practice solutions, generates synergistic effect as a role model for related industries, that also accelerates the enhancement of professional standards. Members can facilitate partnerships and liaise with other similar organizations, connections, associations and stakeholders of VPET. Through the formation of CTAN, we all as the industries’ representatives can effectively engage in relevant discussions and effortlessly approach the same industry inter-region wise.
