earlier, activities conducted after school hours were described as extracurricular activities. But of late, such extracurricular activi-ties, treated as co scholastic, are integral part of the school as its curricular work. In fact, the Co scholastic activities are meant to awaken the latent talents of the children, supplement, nurture and develop such talents. In this context, I feel that the comments made by the secondary education Commission “we would like the school to see if it can provide a richly varied pattern of ac-tivities to cater to the development of children’s entire person-ality” is quite relevant. the Vidya Council for education right from the beginning has been organizing the Co scholastic ac-tivities (Csa). the Kids Fest, arts Fest, sports and Games meet, “synergy” (Competitions in It & Work experience, ‘Intelligent-sia’ (mathematics olympiad, reading and Quiz competitions) are conducted under the Csa for the children of our schools to draw out the inherent potential of our children and develop their all round personality. this combined manual is prepared for the meticulous organization of the various events included in the Csa and to ensure free and fair judgment of the performance of the contestants.
