The capability of Combined Casing Inspection Tools, i.e. Electromagnetic Thickness Tool and Multifinger

Caliper Tool, enables customers to examine the whole well in one trip and assess pipe condition quickly.

The magnitude and location of corrosion-induced defects are identified by the use of this tool string, and

this information leads to a quick total-thickness calculation determining the overall condition of the pipe

structure.

The tool string operates under wireline or in memory mode on slickline, enabling more efficient well site

operations through the using of cased-hole or slickline service equipment. This benefit also enables

rigless intervention and conveyance flexibility to address multiple well construction and operational

challenges. The combination logging information of this tool string will help the customer to determine the

extent of the repair job.

The purpose of logging is to measure the

corrosion of casing from inside and outside.

Description

Analysis

With the combined logging data acquired by

40-finger calliper and the electromagnetic

tool, we find a number of anomalies between

979.79m - 1250.86m, and there is a perforated

zone between 1120m – 1235m.

Result

The logging job is to confirm whether the

target casing interval is good or not. Two runs

were done in the job, which is EMT logging

and a combination logging of MCT and RBT

respectively. Some insignificant corrosion at

4576m is shown in EMT log, while no

significant corrossion at the same depth is

shown in the combination log.

The purpose of logging is to measure the corrosion of casing from inside

and outside.

Description


Analysis

With the combined logging data acquired by 40-finger calliper and the

electromagnetic tool, we find a number of anomalies between 979.79m -

1250.86m, and there is a perforated zone between 1120m – 1235m.

Result

The interpretation result shows three penetrations in the well, and the

section between 1222.6m -1233.4m are most seriously damaged.
