1. Teacher plays a video of a chameleon changing its colours as certain objects are put near it.

4. Teacher plays the video again and asks the pupils to name the colours that they see as the chameleon changes colour.
5. Teachers shows a colour card and asks pupils to name objects in their surroundings that are of the same colour as the card. a) What colour is this?b) Can you name objects around you that
have the same colour as this?

1. Teacher distributes a piece of paper to each pupil.2. Each pupil has to think of an object and then tear the
shape of the object from the given piece of paper.3. Pupils are then asked to colour the shapes they have torn
out.

1. Teacher divides the class into 4 groups; A, B, C & D.2. Group A is to pair up with Group B while Group C is to
pair up with Group D.3. Teacher gives each pupil in Groups A & C a picture card
while each pupil in Group B & D is given a word card.4. Teacher calls out a phrase e.g. ‘a red flower’.5. The pupils in Groups A & C holding the picture of a red
flower will pair up with the pupils in Groups B & D holding the word card with the words ‘a red flower’. Once paired up, both pairs will shout ‘a red flower’.
6. Teacher checks if the pairing is correct.7. This activity goes on with the teacher calling out another
10 phrases.

1. Teacher divides the pupils into groups of 4.2. Each group selects a group leader.3. Each group will be given a coloured composite picture, a
marker pen and a piece of mahjong paper.4. Pupils are to write in phrases as many coloured items as
they can find in the picture on the mahjong paper e.g. ‘a blue car’.

6. Once they have finished their task, the group leader will display their work on the walls of the classroom.
7. The teacher will evaluate their work. 8. The group with the most number of correct answers will

Closure 1. Teacher and pupils sing a song on colours (to the tune of ‘My World is Grey’).
2. Pupils are given a picture to colour. A colour key will be given to ensure that the pupils colour the objects accordingly.
