GOVERNOR’S GAVEL
It’s nomination time! The Meetings will be held on February 28th,
March 14th, and March 28th. Please tell a Board Member if you
intend to run. The Offices are: Governor, Jr. Governor, Treasurer,
Prelate, and three (3) Trustees.
Our Super Bowl Sunday Party was a HUGE success with 42 people
at the Lodge watching the game!
We have some EXCITING EVENTS coming up at the Lodge!
Please come and join in the fun!

LOOM #1783 would like to say welcome to our many new members and thank you to everyone joining us for our pop up dinners. Spring is upon us and with that comes many opportu-nities to get involved with your lodge. Join us for meetings, bingo, work days, or even cook your favorite recipe on our bin-go nights or on Thirsty Thursday! Your recipe can raise funds for our lodge, Mooseheart, Moosehaven, and the community! Thank you to the Boy Scouts for holding your Blue & Gold Din-ner at our Lodge. “Yes, we are having our Golden Ball on March
10th from 6 pm—10 pm.” I hope you can come and have a good time. This event is to raise money for the children at “Mooseheart”. We have Darrel Johnson as the DJ
for this event, so come on and have some fun!!!
ODML #148 News: At the April 7th at the ODML #148 Meet-ing in Dinwiddie (1:00PM), we need to vote on changes of new meeting dates, going from 12 meetings a year to 6
meeting per year, one every other month, and still have 4 celebrations a year. The 6 meetings will be held on week-ends to make it easier for everyone to attend the meetings.
Please let Tim Edwards or Ray Bowles know how our lodge legion feels on this matter.
Let’s take a road trip to Callao #197 on March 14th for the next ODML #148 meeting at 8:00 pm with dinner at 7:00 pm. The attendance award money is over $2,116 and you can
only win if you go!!! Call me if you want a ride. Spring Celebration is April 7th at Dinwiddie #1993 at 1:00
pm. All Colonial Heights Legion #1783...let’s go and have some fun! “It’s Free!”

up dinner, or a special event for a lodge fundraiser
• Help work to repair our fence or other areas in need of
attention
There are so many ways you can volunteer to help our
lodge...please come to the lodge and ask how you can help.

SENIOR REGENT - Judy Crocker 2017-2018
Spring is upon us and will bring you an electronic news-letter, a new board, and new ideas. My year as your Senior Regent has been a very active, growing and suc-cessful year for our chapter. Your leadership, volunteer-ism, dedication, willingness to plan and carryout awe-some events which continue to support Mooseheart, Moosehaven, and our community is why WE, CHWOTM are a great Chapter! I would like to extend congratulations to co-workers Kim Raymond, Green Cap; Erika Farrar, Academy of Friend-ship; and Pat Edwards, College of Regents on receiving your honors this year and in July 2018. I am sure many more honors are forthcoming in our new year starting May 1st. Your hard work continues to inspire me. Let’s continue growing our membership and being a pillar in our community!
