COMMUNITY UPDATES / UPCOMING EVENTS
TEACHER RECOGNITION BANQUET
Belpre Church Bible teachers are asked to save the date of
Sat., Apr. 5 for the Teacher Recognition Banquet, which will take
place in the MPR at 6:00 p.m. Dinner will be provided and One
Accord will be entertaining. All present and past teachers and their
families are invited. Details will follow later.
OHIO VALLEY UNIVERSITY’S SCHOOL OF PROFESSIONAL STUDIES
will be starting a new group of students on their journey toward
completing their bachelor’s degree with an orientation on Thursday,
March 13 at 6:00 p.m. in room #309. Adults with their associate’s
degree (or approximately 2 years of college credits) can complete
their bachelor’s degree in 2 years by going to class just one evening
a week. The business administration degree has two majors
currently available, Organizational Management or Health Care
Administration. All interested parties may contact Eric Miller at
(800) 678-6780, [email protected] , for further information and a
free transcript evaluation. Completing your bachelor’s degree is
doable through this accelerated, accredited program.
On March 21, we’re making plans to see the GOD'S NOT DEAD
movie at Grand Central Mall Cinema. What would you do if in your
first biology class in college a professor told you to write "God is
dead". Come watch the Christian film that tells that story...it's a story
that is very true for many that go to state schools. We will take our
van at 6:20PM from the church to go over to the mall. Cost is $10
and you need to sign up and pay by March 16th. We currently only
have 20 tickets reserved. Parents and adults are welcome to attend.
March 29th Family Fun & Games Night at 7:00 p.m. at the Belpre
Church MPR. Join us for a night of games and fellowship. Bring your
favorite board or card game and a snack to share. Drinks will be
provided. This event is for all ages! Feel free to invite your friends
and neighbors!
We are excited to announce that LIFETOUCH FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY
will be taking pictures of our church family for a new pictorial
directory on April 15-19. All participating families will receive a free
8 X 10 portrait and a complimentary church directory. By booking
our sessions in April, we have secured a 20% discount for any
pictures you may want to purchase for your family. Portrait sessions
may be scheduled in two ways. First, you may go to our website,
click on Lifetouch Directory and then on the link provided. Choose a
day and time, fill out the information and you are scheduled.
Scheduling on-line will give your family another $10.00 discount on
pictures purchased. If you prefer, beginning next Sunday, and
through Sun., Apr. 13, you may schedule your portrait sitting by
visiting a table in the office foyer, where someone will be there to
help you between classes and worship, and again after the end of
services. Another $5.00 discount will be given to your family if you
are willing to fill a “Feed the Need” bag with non-perishable food
and bring to your photography session. “Feed the Need” bags will
go home closer to our scheduled photography week along with other
information.

MINISTRIES
PRAYER MINISTRY
Everyone is invited to the Applied Prayer Class in room 102-103
on Wed. evenings at 7:00 p.m. This class focuses on the
application of prayer, with an emphasis on praying for spiritual
rather than physical needs.
COURAGE TO CHANGE
The truth about sin is that you do more harm to yourself when
you hide it than when you confess it openly to God. When you
confess it, you acknowledge you need God’s mercy and strength
to help you. God sets you free from the damaging cycle by
removing the fear, bitterness and corruption. God heals you,
loves you, and gives your life significance and success. Confess
your sins to him today so that he can teach you real freedom
and you can find mercy.
LOVE IN ACTION
We have managed this week to get an internet jack placed into
the pantry thanks to Brian Vaughan. This will allow us to update
our client list, keep better records on each client, and keep us
directly connected to Logan. We are excited about this and
praying in time it will make records much easier to keep.
Ron challenged us last Sunday to master our fears. Are we
willing to "unbolt our doors" that keep us "safe." Will we give
God freedom to enter in and rearrange our lives? Do we want
that close fellowship with God? Only we as individual Christians
can answer that. Will you unlock the door? Will you trust God
with your fears and step out in faith? If we want to be a vertical
church, we must do this...step out beyond our fears and watch
God bless our faith.
JAMAICA
The Jamaica Mission Team will be going to Barnes Pen, in
St. Catherine Parish this summer, July 3-12, 2014. Anyone
interested in joining the team is asked to see Mary Ann Thorn.

THANK YOU
Dear Supporter, I wanted to personally say thank you, from the bottom of my
heart, for your support of the Latrobe Street Mission. Your support is the fuel
that keeps this ministry going. Latrobe Street Mission’s motto is “new life begins
here”, and it is because of your support that Latrobe Street Mission is able to
continue functioning by that motto. May you be blessed, and may you continue
to make positive change in the world by your willingness to give to community
agencies such as your Latrobe Street Mission.
Respectfully, Jason Batten, Director of Operations

There’s no _________ where God is ______.
3. God’s _____________ Presence. Sometimes it was…

When Moses entered the tent,
the pillar of cloud would descend
and stand at the entrance of the
tent, and the LORD would speak
with Moses. And when all the
people saw the pillar of cloud
standing at the entrance of the
tent, all the people would rise up
and worship, each at his tent
door. Thus the LORD used to
speak to Moses face to face, as a
man speaks to his friend.
