1996-1997Uplift Education granted first charter to open Uplift North Hills Preparatory.
2000Uplift Education
becomes first charter in the
country to obtain investment grade
rating and sell $6M in bonds.
2004$10M gift from
Communities Foundation of Texas to open
Uplift Peak Preparatory, first
urban campus.
2005North Hills Preparatory
receives first of six consecutive "Best High
School" rating by Newsweek Magazine and
Uplift receives funding from the Bill & Melinda
Gates Foundation to use for expansion.
2007Uplift receives expansion funding from the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation to open three new urban schools: Uplift Hampton Prep, Uplift Summit Intl.
Prep & Uplift Williams Prep.
2010Uplift opens two schools: Uplift Heights and Uplift
Luna and formalizes partnership with Museum
of Nature and Science. Uplift also received $7.5M from U.S. DOE for Teacher
Incentive Pay.
2011The Washington Post names Uplift North Hills Preparatory
and Uplift Peak Preparatory as the 10th and 11th best public
high schools in America. Uplift rolls out five year plan to serve
13,000 students by 2015-16 school year.

2012All five Uplift high
schools named in the top 70 public schools in the
nation by the Washington Post.
Uplift opens two new schools in Fort Worth:
Uplift Mighty Prep & Uplift Meridian Prep.
• Will grow to serve scholars K-12 (maximum enrollment 1500)
• Opening this August with grades K-2 & 6-7
• Comprehensive Road to College program beginning in 6th grade which guides students & families through:
– College preparation
– College admissions
– Financial aid
– Transition to and through college
