SEM College of Nursing & Paramedical Sciences is a unit of Sacred Educational Mission Society. Considering the increasing demand for trained human resources in the area of allied medical services, SEM Society has decided to start various job oriented courses at Diploma and Graduate level. The SEM College of Nursing & Paramedical Sciences is a major endeavor in this respect. SEM College of Nursing & Paramedical Sciences is sanctioned by Government of J&K. The college is recognized by J&K Nursing Council (SPMC/GMC/SGR/5862-5868 Dated 11.10.2019) and afliated to University of Kashmir (F(T.aff-N-SEM)CDC/KU/20/39 Dated 24.02.20)

At present the SEM College of Nursing & Paramedical Sciences is imparting training in a separate building within the campus of SEM at Humhama, Budgam which is situated near Srinagar International Airport and also has an easy access from the Budgam Railway station. The college is committed to the excellence in education and offers the students the advantage of high quality academic programme, distinguished faculty and exceptionally good facilities.

We recognize that the Basic courses in Nursing should prepare Nurses for rst level positions in Hospitals, Community and in Nursing educational settings. Nursing practice encompasses provision of preventive, promotive, curative and rehabilitative aspects of caring people across their life span in a wide variety of healthcare settings in collaboration with other health care professionals. Ultimately, we believe that on completion of Diploma or B.Sc Nursing Degree course, they should become exemplary citizen by adhering to code of ethics and professional conduct at all times in fullling professional, personal and social roles.

We the faculty of SEM College of Nursing & Paramedical Sciences, believe that the basic course in Nursing is a formal educational preparation based on sound scientic principle and technological advancement to meet the changing health needs of the society.We believe that Nursing is based on humanistic existentialistic philosophy in which man is of central importance and humanistic care is its aim. We recognize that social responsibility and individual worth is ultimate product of human philosophy. We recognize that the Basic degree course in Nursing should prepare Nurses for rst level position in hospital, community and Nursing educational settings.We realize that knowledge, skills and attitude for caring is the central core of professional Nursing. We believe that Nursing practice encompasses provision of preventive, promotive, curative and rehabilitative aspects of caring people across their life span in a wide variety of health care sett l ing in collaboration with other health care professionals. We realize that faculty has the responsibility to be the role models and creative learning setting that enables students to acquire inquiry driven self directed learning and foster an attitude of lifelong caring and concern towards which they are caring.We believe that teaching is the Art of Science of structuring content for student learning, establishing objectives, organizing materials and designing learning activities and evaluating the performance in ways that enables the students to learn.We also realize the importance of Evidence Based Nursing and our teaching and practice should be based on the best evidence available from the clinical area which is the best laboratory to learn patient care.

Library:-A well equipped and well managed library is the foundation of modern education system. Library has the same position in an educational institution as the heart in a body. It circulates the knowledge and information through body of the college.

The College of Nursing library consists of books of all specialties. National and International journals are also available. Library is spacious with adequate seating arrangements. To get access to modern trends in the eld of health care administration, internet facilities are also provided in the college. Laboratories:-The college is spacious and has Lecture halls with most modern teaching equipments. Well-equipped Nursing Foundation Lab, Anatomy Lab, Nutrition Lab, Community Health Lab, Maternal and Child Health Lab, AV Aids Lab, and Computer Lab are provided in the college for practical training.
