The planned outcomes for the event are:

1. the sharing of collaborative initiatives to adjust care and support for people with learning disabilities

2. for participants to utilise reflective groups in order to further develop their current initiatives; and

Call for Contributions

Contributions of no more than 300 words to be submitted by the 13th May 2016 to [email protected] using the application template provided below for both presentation and posters or via our online submission form at:

Contributions are invited which focus on the three purposes of the Community of Practice, which are to:

1. be person centred;

2. provide the best quality care and support; and

3. improve equality and access.

This will enable organisers to:

1. make an informed decision on the suitability of the proposed presentation/poster for the conference programme; and

2. provide participants attending the conference and members of the community who are unable to attend written information on your presentation/poster.

2 The title is succinct and declares the content

3 The authors make explicit what they intend to present.

4 Material is concise and coherent, with the focus of the abstract and its relevance to the CoP audience stated clearly.

5 Materials are inclusive and easy to understand, to meet the needs of every member of the CoP.

6 Written in English with spelling, grammar and syntax of a high standard.
