Channel 4 guideAfter doing a Google search, I found an outline of how to create a print ad from Channel 4.

From this I knew that there was 4 key elements to a Channel 4 print ad; colour, typography, imagery andtone. These are all needed to create a narrative for the audience who will see the print ad.

People recognise Channel 4 by their logo, which unlikeothers – they are placed in the right centre of print ads.

One main image is usually used for Channel 4 print ads – all editing will happen to the raw material. It will grab the audiences attention by intriguing them eg. Child being swallowed by the ground.

The colour scheme will be based on whatever stands out against the main image (focus). The same colour is used for the cover lines as the logo.

The logo is always positioned in the centre right of the print ad.

The typography used for Channel 4 text is always in the same font. It is usually positioned at the bottom of the left corner; it will include the name and a slogan or date and time.
