Ten years ago, the renaissance of the Poseidonion Grand Hotel marked a new era in hospitality

on Spetses. Ten years ago, Baba Au Rum was introduced to the Athenian bar scene as

the city’s first theme oriented bar. In 2019 Poseidonion and Baba Au Rum, now one of the

50 best bars in the world, meet on the island of the aromas for unique fine drinking experiences

and an inspired list of creative cocktails.

Baba Au Rum Cocktail 13

Our signature cocktail is a complex yet balanced umami Daiquiri with vanilla, sweet sherry, oak, lime, basil and other herbs. Starring in the leading role is Barceló Imperial rum from the Dominican Republic.

Red Or Dread 12

Shake it up with sweet red berries with a floral aftertaste, black cherry, fresh lemon and other citrus fruits. A cool and jazzy cocktail that is a house favourite.

Spicy Baba 13

What do you get when you mix aged rum from the Caribbean island of St. Lucia with ginger, sweet berries and sour lime? Βaba Au Rum’s most popular cocktail since 2010 of course - still spicy and totally irresistible!

Summer Gathering 12

This cocktail draws on the taste of the good life during the Mediterranean summer, featuring the Greek favourite, minty fresh mastiha. We continue this tradition by adding lavender flowers from Poseidonion’s gardens, with cool grapefruit and sweet vanilla being complemented by a dash of aromatic red vermouth.

Buccaneer’s Revenge Negroni 12

Fragrances of pineapple and rose in a blend of Caribbean rums create the most exotic bittersweet Negroni you will find, no matter where in the world you sail.

Les Fleurs Du Mal 12

Throwing caution to the wind, we have blended pine-infused spirits with a touch of mango, lemon juice and a twist of celery, topped up with tonic. A surrealistic long drink that would be the contemporary poet Charles Baudelaire’s favourite, were he a Poseidonion regular.

Vatos, Lemon - Αloe Liqueur 8(60 ml) by Poseidonion Grand Hotel

Fresh lemons from the gardens of Spetses and aloe vera from the hotel’s organic farm combine to create a special homemade liqueur that bears the signature of the Poseidonion Grand Hotel and “Myromeni Vatos”. The lemons and aloe of Spetses have a special quality due to the historic island’s microclimate and the secret recipe by Vatos adds the finishing touches to this unique liqueur.

Cognac / Brandy (60 ml) Brandy and Tsipouro are both made from grapes. Brandy is always aged in wooden barrels. Metaxa is a Greek aged grape distillate with the addition of wines of the muscat variety, a recipe that makes it unique in the world. Cognac is brandy produced exclusively in the region of the same name in France.

Tequila / Mezcal (60 ml)Tequila is a distillate produced exclusively in Mexico by the agave plant and only by the blue agave variety. All the tequilas we serve are 100% agave spirits, which is a guarantee of their high quality. The Reposado ages for at least 6 months, while the Añejo for at least 18 months, having the characteristics of a rich aged distillate. Mezcal is also produced in Mexico from various varieties of agave and distinguished by its smoky character.
