OCTAGON compressors for subcritical CO2 applications

With the launch of these further developed OCTAGON CO2 compressors a finely stepped series ranging from 2.7 to 80 kW cooling capacity (–35°C/–5°C) is now available for subcritical CO2 applications.

Besides the well-known features this new compressor series is characterized by a further increase in energy efficiency. Moreover the application limits have been extended towards higher condensing temperatures as well the maximum pressures at the high and low pressure side (53/30 bar).

ルギー効率がさらに向上しています。ま

た、適用制限が大幅に拡張され、より高

い凝縮温度でも高圧側と低圧側で最高

圧力（53/30 bar）が得られます。

The improvements are primarily due to the following measures: ❑ additional strengthening of housing

and drive gear ❑ specially adapted motors for

condensing temperatures up to 15°C ❑ Reduction of internal flow losses

In combination with CO2 compressors for transcritical operation this series offers in moderate climate zones the possibility for very efficient medium and low temperature compound systems within a wide capacity range.

Universal application ranges and very favorable Eco-efficiency are also offered by CO2/R134a hybrid systems (cascade) with the newly developed ECOLINE series (brochure KP-103).

From the middle of the nineties on BITZER has taken active part in several CO2 projects and gained comprehensive experience regarding compressor requirements and applications. By now a larger number of compressors are used in different plants showing excellent results.

This compressor offering is intended for companies which develop CO2 systems and are familiar with the specific installation and operation requirements of CO2 plants.
