THE SRN TIMES Dear SRN Family
It gives me immense pleasure to showcase the success of my SRNians through this tenth edition of the SRN Times.
At SRN International School, technology and value based education is imparted to the students and they are always
sensitized towards the society and the environment.
Every month the school organizes various knowledge and learning based activities. It is a matter of pride for us that our
students exhibit respect for planet earth and conservation of natural resources. Students are actively involved in various
activities where they have taken steps like planting trees, watering trees and helping birds and animals during extreme
summers.
At SRN International School, we teach our students that determination, commitment and discipline are the three pillars on
which success stands. We empower them towards decision making, we teach them creative ideation and we make them
smarter by letting them play with technology. This makes us unique as we let the children grow and realize their own
inner potential.
I extend best wishes to all student, parents and valuable partners associated with the school and hope that
we all will think progressively towards the development of every single child, so that every child
positively contributes towards nation building.
Stay Healthy and Blessed…...!

Dearest SRNians
It is joy that the ninth edition of SRN Times showcases such wonderful array of academic, cultural, environmental and
life- skills based activities which have been undertaken by our lovely students and energized teachers.
Today is an age of modernism which is intertwined with traditions. Today children are learning through technology yet at
their homes, they learn to remain rooted in Indian values and traditions. With this view in mind, SRN International School
organizes various activities where students learn the values offered by the Indian culture and also learn leadership skills
on how to execute such events. Students, under the able guidance of the teachers and the Prefectorial council
learn skills like critical thinking and discipline. All members of the SRN Fraternity, including the adorable
students, their knowledge banks- the Gurus and loving parents, work with a pledge towards determination
and dedication and hence we will be able to achieve many more laurels for the students and the school.
God bless everyone and keep working hard.

witnessed extreme enthusiasm from the entire school. All
students were cheering for their preferred teams.
Students also presented various dances where they mixed the traditional spirituality with
modern beliefs. The environment was so delightful that audiences got up and started to
sway on blessed tunes like „Radhe- Radhe‟. Students also decorated a swing for Lord
Krishna and one by one, they came and offered their prayers to the Lord.
Principal, Mrs. Usha Sharma shared with the students that along with academic
curriculum, if such competitions are organized within the school, they tend to energize the
students. She also shared that in today‟s modern world students must be aware of their
traditional and mythological cultural folklore and must learn to appreciate the same.
Educational Technology – A Boon
We have been using technology so much these days in each and every domain of our lives, be it education or the regular
household work. Have we ever taken out a second to wonder if it is leaving a positive impact on our work or it is just that
we have been relying too much on it that we‟ve become habitual to it, ignoring the direction of its impact?
Say for instance, is technology causing education to improve over time or have we just been catching up with the trend
of educational technology.
Earlier, technology in education was a debatable topic amongst the society. Everyone had their own views on modernizing
education and making it technology aided. There were a huge number of positives and negatives to education technology.
But, gradually as technology was embraced by the educational institutions, they realized the importance of technology in
education. It‟s positives out numbered the negatives and now, with technology, education has taken a whole new meaning
that it leaves us with no doubt that our educational system has been transformed owing to the ever-advancing technology.
Technology and education are a great combination if used together with a right reason and vision.
With technology, educators, students and parents have a variety of learning tools at their fingertips. Here are some of
the ways in which technology improves education over time:

Exuberant Janmasthami celebrations and Matki-Fod competition
Teachers can collaborate to share their ideas and resources online: They can communicate with others across the
world in an instant, meet the shortcomings of their work, refine it and provide their students with the best. This
approach definitely enhances the practice of teaching.
Students can develop valuable research skills at a young age: Technology gives students immediate access to an
abundance of quality information which leads to learning at much quicker rates than before.
Students and teachers have access to an expanse of material: There are plenty of resourceful, credible websites
available on the Internet that both teachers and students can utilize. The Internet also provides a variety of knowledge
and doesn‟t limit students to one person‟s opinion.
Online learning is now an equally credible option: Face-to-face interaction is huge, especially in the younger years,
but some students work better when they can go at their own pace. Online education is now accredited and has
changed the way we view education.
I encourage you to think about more ways of how technology has improved education and how it can
positively impact it in the near future. Feel free to share these views, additional knowledge or clarify
doubts you may have on the relation of education and technology.

Role of Youth in National Development
The term nation building or national development is usually used to refer to a constructive process of engaging all citizens
in building social cohesion, economic prosperity and political stability in a nation in an inclusive and democratic way.
Going by the definition, it is seen that all citizens are to be involved in building or developing a nation. Thus, the
involvement of youth in national development is a must. In fact, youths plays one of the most important roles in nation
building.
Youth are not only the leaders of tomorrow, but also the partners of today. Young people are social actors of change and
progress. They are crucial contributors towards nation‟s development. Their contribution, therefore, is indispensible.
Youth always has been the centre of all activities in the world be it war, politics or construction work. The hunger, desire,
motivation, determination and high energy of young Indians can make all the difference in either destroying or building
the nation. Proper guidance and direction can bring the youth to the forefront of national development. The young have
passions, dreams and hopes. They have bubbling enthusiasm which has to be regulated and utilised in the right way. This
can surely ensure rapid national development. Youth is that period in which revolutionary thoughts spring to mind and
these thoughts shape the world we live in. Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft is a living example. Since he was young,
he had revolutionary thoughts and he surely innovated many modern technologies.
There are a lot of other revolutionary youth leaders around the world who have changed the world and steered it towards
development. Youth, through organizing for a specific aim and positive direction, can contribute more towards the
national development than any segment of the society.
