Technologies that Achieve High Productivity
Synchronized tapping, a function that fully synchronizes the spindle motor and the Z-axis
feed at high-speed, has improved tapping performance. (The TC-20B has also achieved a
maximum spindle speed of 10,000 rpm when tapping.)
The Tapping Center has achieved high acceleration/deceleration and high
productivity by using a low-inertia mechanism and Brother’s original NC unit,
while preserving the #30 spindle taper.

The “QT table” refers to a quick turn table. This is an original 2-face pallet changer with an AC servomotor and HRH (high ratio hypoid gear) combined. As the table turns 180 degrees, workpieces on one pallet can be changed while workpieces on the other pallet are machined. Non-stop machining and high-speed pallet change greatly improves productivity, leading to a reduction in total costs.
When machining workpieces, there is non-cutting time, ranging from door opening, unclamping, workpiece removal, jig washing, workpiece attachment, clamping to door closing. Using a QT table enables non-stop machining as the next workpieces can be set on pallet 2 while machining workpieces on pallet 1.
Brother offers both column traverse machine and table traverse machines.
Column traverse machines are equipped with our original QT table (2-face pallet
changer) to maximize productivity.

■ High productivityCycle time is reduced by improving program processing speed using an NC unit (CNC-B00) and increasing acceleration through vibration control. This has led to improved productivity by 3 to 10% when compared to the former model.
Compact size of 1,340 mm width, even for machines equipped with a QT table.
Machine rigidity is greatly improved to enhance cutting performance by completely updating the machine structure, for example, increase in size of each axis guide, enlargement of spindle bearing diameter, and enhancement of spindle clamping force.

In addition to the conventional 26-tool magazine, a 40-tool magazine is available.QT: Equipped with a large quick turn table suitable for large workpiece
machining or multiple parts machining (One side: X 600mm, Y 425mm)FT: Equipped with a fixed table (X 800mm, Y 400mm) with a maximum
loading capacity of 600kg where large jigs can be mounted.
Non-cutting time is reduced by increasing rapid traverse rate and acceleration(rapid traverse rate: 70 m/min). Various functions, such as spindle acceleration/deceleration and ATC, are also enhanced, achieving tool change time of 2.1 seconds※1.
The shape of the base with a center trough structure is modified to improve chip discharge. The machining area, machine room, and tool stocker are separated to prevent any chip problems.
