Program Curriculum How this works

Students are required to register for the request term they are interested in. Registration is

only refundable if you are determined not to me a qualified candidate. Once registration fee is

paid, you will be emailed within 48 hrs-72 hrs. You will ask to schedule an phone or in person

interview at that time and must complete the required registration forms.

Prior to admission to the CNA to LVNLPN equivalency program, students must schedule

an appointment for interview with the instructor.

During this interview it will be determined if you are a candidate for equivalency/method

three. You will be advised on the options you have and a program outline will be designed.

Students will receive detailed outline instructions on how to complete the courses. Is it suggested

to follow the instructor’s recommendations.

After the interview process a start date will be determined. Most students are allowed to

start prior to the official enrollment date. Depending on the amount of students in the cohort you

might be asked us to wait until the actual start date.

Students enrolling in the complete total assistance program, we suggest to start with the

“CNA to LVN: how to challenge the board online”course first. This course is designed to show

you the actual steps that we will take to help you challenge the board for nursing licensure. It is

strongly recommended to complete this course prior to study pharmacology or completing an

application. The CNA to LVN online course will walk you through all the stuff that we will help

you do. It's a step-by-step guide on the steps of challenging the board and is it strongly suggested.

After completion of the online course, the student will have a better understanding of the

process. At that time it is a advised that the student complete an application for licensure with the

board of nursing.

Each student will receive a Cna to nurse checklist included in the registration forms. This

checklist is designed to help you keep track of you progress. Mark off each step as it is completed.

It is suggested to complete the items in order on the checklist unless instructed to do otherwise.

Some students are advise to complete an application immediately upon enrollment.

After completing the Cna to Lvn course, we suggest starting the pharmacology course.

Most students participating in the CNA to LVN/LPN equivalency program will be allowed to

access the pharmacology course immediately upon enrollment.

The pharmacology course is a college course consisting of three units and 54 hours of

theory. This pharmacology course is required by the board of Vocational nursing and psychiatric

technicians in California for method three applicants for vocational nursing licensure. Students

must spend a minimum of 54 hours on the course to receive credit. Students must also pass all

exams by a minimum of 75% for a passing score.

Prerequisites for the pharmacology course are just basic medical knowledge. Students are

advised to complete the pharmacology course in order starting with module one. Books required

to complete the pharmacology course are listed in the course. Items required include a drug book

dated at least 2015 and a medical dictionary. Optional books include pharmacology made easy,

second edition.

For our courses we use an interactive platform on open learning.com. The student is

required to establish an account to access course content. Establishing an account is free and

included with your course. You will receive an email with set up instructions once registration and

interviews are complete or at the start of your session (whichever comes first).

One students have completed all payments and completed all requirements regarding

passing the pharmacology course, the student will be issued a certificate of completion. Upon

completion of both of those requirements certified transmission will be sent to the board of

vocational nursing on behalf of the student and no additional charge. One Transcriptsalso will

be sent to the students at no additional charge. All additional transcripts will acquire a $10 fee for

certified transcript and a five dollar fee for any copies.

Upon enrollment into either our pharmacology, CNA to LVN online course or CNA to

LVNLPN equivalency program students are required to maintain all payment arrangements and

obligations. No transcripts will be made available to any students with an outstanding balance.

We are not responsible for any denial in regards to the board that does not involve our

pharmacology course. Students are required to have the experience necessary to challenge the

board. Evaluation of experiences is at the Board's discretion and not ours.

It is advised that students complete an online application with the board of vocational

nurses and psychiatric technicians as soon as possible. Some students decide to complete the

application after completing the pharmacology course however. Please be advised that Board

processing times vary between 2-3 months for online applications, and up to 6 months for paper

applications. So get your application in asap.

Once you signed up you are required to complete an interview with our administrator. That interview can be scheduled in person or via phone. Get your cna online program guide The CNA Online program is a challenge Program. Meaning your are using a combination of experience and education to become certified as a nurses assistant in California. The program is completely online with an option skills practice session available monthly.

Requirements to participate in this course are:

Caregiver/CNA EXP. 18 years or older Clean background SSN

How it works There are 4 methods in becoming a certified nursing assistant in California. One of the methods is called the equivalency method. With this method, you can use a combination of experience and education. There is no minimum amount of experience necessary and you are required to complete at minimum a nursing fundamentals course. Our program assists you with meeting these qualifications and completing the application and exam.

Upon Enrollment in this course the student is required to pay a registration fee.

Upon payment of the registration fee, the student will receive registration forms via email to complete. The student must submit the registration forms and the payment arrangement forms prior to access to the course. Once the forms are received and processed the student will have access to the course within 72 hours. The student is not required to spend a certain amount of time on the course. The course can be completed at the students convenience. Upon completion of both the CNA challenge course and the nursing fundamentals course the student will receive a certificate of completion. Documentation of completion of the nursing fundamentals course will be sent to the department of public health. Once documentation is process by the department of public health and after successful completion and approval of the background check that the applicant must take prior to completion of the course, The student will be eligible to take the CNA examination for certification.

The CNA examination is performed by third-party vendor . The Cna examination fees are included in the course cost. Once the application has received an authorization to test from the department of public health, The student must notify us to schedule the examination.

The student will only be able to take the examination once once. If the student fails to complete the examination on the time scheduled or fails the examination, retest examination fees Will be required.

Cna Resource center also has optional skill session monthly that covers all the skills that are in the course. The CNA challenge online course includes demonstrations and step-by-step instructions on how to complete the skills that are on the skills exam. practice written test are also included in the course.

Upon successful completion of both the skills and written exam, the application will be issued a certification through the department of health.

Chapter 1: Finding out

If I told you a few years ago you could become a lvn without going to vocational school,

you probably would of laughed in my face. But believe it or not this program existed years ago. I

first heard about it through my mom. She had been a Cna for 20 years at the time and she was

very excited at this possible opportunity for us. I mean, all we have to do is pass the nursing exam

right?! Then we're nurses? Right?? Well... As we found out more, it wasn't that easy. As a matter

of fact, it took me 2 years to get my license.

Firstly, there were a lot of skeptical nurses. I can't tell you how many people told me that

this program doesn't exist. There's no such thing as challenging the board. Well I hear to tell you,

It does exist!!!

The first steps

To get started its important to know that there might be road blocks on your way to success.

Remember it took me 2 years for a reason. The board is very picky in regards to documentation.

Making sure all your documents are in order will greatly increase your application being process

quickly.

First requirement of the board is 5 years of acute care experience. Included in this should

be 5 weeks of maternity/obgyn experience.
