With services calling weekly at every major US port covering the East Coast from New York to Miami, the Gulf from Mobile to Houston, and the West Coast from Southern California to the PNW, CMA CGM’s port coverage can handle any requirement. This extensive network connects the American market with the world daily. CMA CGM recently entered an operational partnership with China Shipping Container Lines and United Arab Shipping Company, enabling the company to provide the flexibilities and scope that can only be gained in certain markets from such an alliance. Combining speed and reliability, this new Ocean Three alliance provides eight fixed-day weekly loops to and from Asia, with 66 weekly calls in 33 ports reaching a total capacity of half a million TEUs. Contributing 52% of the combined fleet, CMA CGM is the leader in this partnership.

CMA CGM is deeply committed to the environment. Through its multiple actions, the Group has reduced its CO2 emissions by 50% since 2005. The company utilizes cleaner-burning, low Sulphur fuels, has developed energy-efficient reefer containers and was the first carrier to introduce eco containers equipped with bamboo flooring, taking advantage of this quickly renewable resource to replace traditional hard wood container decking. In addition, CMA CGM (America) LLC is committed to taking action in local sustainable development programs for environment preservation, education and social responsibility.

An efficient and environment-friendly fleet The leading position of the Group is also reflected by its fleet. With an overall capacity of 1,783,000 TEUs*, it counts with 470* vessels, of which 83* company-owned. On October 6th 2015, the Group inaugurated the CMA CGM Bougainville under the Presidency of François Hollande. An 18,000 TEU vessel and CMA CGM flagship, it is the world’s largest containership sailing under the French flag. By the end of 2015, the Group will have taken delivery of six of these 18,000 TEU giants of the sea.
