The Standard Cost-Effective SystemThe M.E. 2 cable management system is manufactured with rigid Ø.187 powder coat steel wire, welded in a 2" x 4" grid. M.E. 2 cable trays are available in 7' or 10' lengths that can be cut to length and can be configured at the installation site. Straight tray sections are easy to handle, 2 inch or 4 inch deep trays, available in 6", 8", 12", 18" and 24" widths, offer a variety of wire channel routing and protection options.

TRAY EXTENSIONOFFSET LOOP

#05-CM58During some installations, there may be sections that do not meet. The offset loop was designed to bridge the connection. The offset loops bolt to the existing loops on the tray. When attached to both ends of a section, a lateral adjustment of up to 12” is possible. To adjust, slide the cable trays, fittings or offset loops to meet and then tighten the flange hex nuts.

Product & Installation OverviewPRO-10™ should be installed from the originating head-end i.e.,the electrical or telecommunications closet. Once the pathway has been established, it is important to install the pre-fabricated junctions first. This allows for proper field measurements before installing the cable tray. If the straight sections are installed first, it will cause unnecessary field adjustments. Each section has loops at each end. When the sections are connected, the loop on the bottom aligns under the exposed galvanized area of the adjoining section.

The loop on the side slides into the outside loop guide. Once the trays are aligned, install the 5/16" carriage bolt (included) through the loops with the threaded end to the outside of the tray. This reduces the chances of damage when pulling the cables. Install and tighten the flanged nuts with a 1/2" socket. It is not recommended that the cable tray be cut as it may interfere with the grounding characteristics and UL classification®.

STARTING THE INSTALLATIONIt is recommended that the installer starts at a junction location and attach tray sections from that point out. The hanging or mounting hardware should be secured to the building structure first, spaced at 5 ft. intervals.

CONNECTING CM20 STRAIGHT AND JUNCTION SECTIONS1. Loop tray end slides into other tray end. Connecting exposed sections provides UL continuity. (See

Figure 1)2. Push the tray firmly together as shown. (See Figure 2)3. Insert the carriage bolts and tighten the nuts. (See Figure 3)4. Once tightened, the patented loop connection is extremely high load bearing, secure and will maintain

continuity throughout the tray system. (See Figure 4 & 5)

It is not necessary to install bonding straps or jumpers to every tray.
