Art Club

Open to: Years 7, 8 & 9 Venue: N3 (Year 7), N1 (Years 8 & 9) Time: Monday lunchtime (starts after half term)

Further Information: Art Ambassadors will help to develop specific skills and techniques to aid your creativity.

How to join: Sign up via Google Classroom

Art Drop-in

Open to: All years Venue: N1 & N2 Time: Every day at lunchtime

Further Information: Come along and get on with exam work or any homework set at your own pace.

Book Club

Open to: Years 7, 8 & 9 Venue: Library Time: Lunchtime on the last Friday of the month

Further Information: Come along to discuss what you’re reading, take part in quizzes and give each other recommendations. You can bring your lunch with you.

Buddy Club

Open to: Year 7 Venue: Drama Studio Time: Tuesday lunchtime

Further Information: This is run by Y9 Buddies and is open to all Year 7 students. Come along to make new friends, play games and have fun. You will also have the opportunity to meet with the buddies and to ask any questions that you may have.

CAVE (Computer Animation and Visual Effects)

Open to: All years Venue: T1 Time: Thursday lunchtime

Further Information: We will be making 2D and 3D Computer Animation short movies and enhancing photographs and artwork using computers. We will learn about film techniques as they apply to computing.

The Chill Zone

Open to: Year 10 Venue: Drama Studio Time: Friday lunchtime 13.45-14.20 please be punctual.

Further Information: Relaxation sessions. Allow yourself some chill time. You would be more comfortable with a roll mat but not essential.

Christian Union

Further Information: A group of students that come together at lunch to discuss a bit of the bible each week.

Further Information: For those who are interested in developing their acting skills and expressing their passion for drama come and join!

Further Information: SEND Ambassadors will provide creative ways to help to develop effective teamwork skills

Feminism Society

Open to: Year 10 upwards Venue: S3 Time: Tuesday lunchtime

Further Information: Come along for topical discussion and debate. Led by a friendly sixth form team.

Food Tech Club

Open to: Year 8 Venue: TC3 Time: Wednesday lunchtime (Week B only)

Further Information: Our Y13 Subject Ambassadors will lead you in a practical session, making dishes that you would not get the chance to in curriculum time.

How to join: There will be a meeting in the second half of September where you will be given a Google Classroom code with instructions and the recipe etc.

The Geekery

Open to: Years 7 - 11 Venue: E11 Time: Thursday lunchtime 1.45 - 2.15pm

Further Information: Come and share your love of all things nerdy! The club is led by your suggestions, so we discuss the films, TV, anime, comics, books or games you choose. Drawing, writing and craft activities as well as general chat available.

Global Awareness

Open to: All years Venue: N7 Time: Friday lunchtime (Week B only)

Further Information: Run by Sixth Form students, we aim to create awareness about and celebrate a variety of cultures in school and provide a stable foundation upon which the acceptance and acknowledgement of all ethnic and racial backgrounds can stand.

Further Information: Our Y13 Subject Ambassadors will lead you in exploring History in a fun and creative way. THE PAST IS A BLAST!

History Discussion Group

Open to: Years 12 & 13 Venue: H11 Time: Wednesday lunchtime (Week A only)

Further Information: Come along for debate on topical issues and thought provoking historical discussion.

Homework After School

Open to: All years Venue: Library Time: 3.30 - 4.30pm, Monday - Thursday

Further Information: If you struggle to find a quiet space to work at home or if you just want to get homework done straight after school, come along and complete your homework here! Computers are available.

Open to: All years Venue: L5 Time: Monday and Wednesday lunchtimes

Further Information: A Student Ambassador will be available to assist anyone who needs a little help with homework. Unlike the after school club, assistance is available. As exams approach revision tips will be shared.

LGBTQ+ Support

Open to: All years Venue: L4 Time: Monday lunchtime (Week A only)

Further Information: A drop in session for anyone that wants support with LGBTQ+ issues or is interested to find out more.

Further Information: Subject Ambassadors will take a lead in putting on some fun mathematical activities and puzzles.

Photography Club

Open to: All years Venue: N3 Time: Wednesday lunchtime

Further Information: Come and learn the Dark Arts!!!! Come along for a taster of traditional and digital photography, led by our Subject Ambassadors. You should bring a camera if you have one.

Racing Car

Open to: Years 7, 8, 9 & 10 Venue: TC7 Time: Friday lunchtime

Further Information: We are designing and building an electric powered racing car under the Greenpower Formula 24 racing scheme. Come along and get involved.

Rampaging Chariots

Open to: Years 8, 9 & 12 Venue: TC6 Time: Tuesday lunchtime

Further Information: Students build a wireless controlled robot, modify the design and compete against other schools with their machine in the summer.

How to join: Year 8 team for 2017 is required. Spaces are available for 8 members - see Mr Potkin in person. Year 9 and 12 teams are currently full.

Science Club

Open to: Years 7, 8 & 9 Venue: S15 Time: Friday lunchtime

Further Information: The KS3 Science Ambassadors will be organising exciting experiments, full of whizzes and bangs that you won’t get the chance to do in lessons.

Further Information: Discussion group focused on LGBTQ+ related matters.

Technology Club

Further Information: Come along and make and produce small products, learning new techniques. You can bring your lunch with you.

Further Information: Come along if you require time to catch up with or work on classwork or exam work.

Further Information: This is a group for Young Carers to have time for informal chat and to have some fun.
