  • Health Analytics

    • Data is the commodity of the 21st century. • By 2020 (Markets and Markets) North America will dominate

the health analytics market and this market will grow to an expected value of $18.7B, up from $5.8B in 2015.

  • North American Streaming Analytics Market (2016-2022)*

    • Streaming Analytics market growth within and outside of healthcare are strong.

    • Streaming analytics market is expected to reach $6.1 billion by 2022, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 27.2%

    • 2015 - US market size of $874.4 million. • Canada market - fastest growth rate of 30.1% CAGR (2016-2022). • Services segment is expected to grow at the highest CAGR of 29.7%

    during the forecast period.

  • Extremely preterm infant, day 10 of life…

Ventilated and receiving parenteral nutrition via a central line. All vital signs werestable & within normal range, settings on the ventilator were very stable & bloodgas analyses within normal range. Baby noted to be a bit lethargic on the morningward round & some deterioration in respiratory status. Sepsis was suspected andantibiotics commenced. Blood work confirmed clinical suspicions of sepsis.Unfortunately, baby deteriorated extremely rapidly, developed septic shock anddied within about 14 hours of clinical signs of illness.

  • Tactical operator

Carrying out a room clearing exercise to locate an active shooter.

If their heart rate goes too high fine and gross motor skills will begin to fail and theycould develop tunnel vision and pass out.

The trauma from carrying out the exercise to locate and contain the active shootercould contribute to post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

    Clinical Significance

  • Fire Fighter

Carrying out a structure clearing exercise to rescue those trapped in a fire andextinguish a fire. Rescue people from vehicle accidents. Administer CPR untilparamedics arrive.

If their heart rate goes too high fine and gross motor skills will begin to fail and theyare at risk of developing various heart conditions.

The trauma from carrying out the exercise to rescue someone from a structure fireor vehicle accident could contribute to post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

    Clinical Significance

  • Research Software

Research Software is not just about software, high performance computing and the cloud

It is about the stories we can change when we use it and how we can do that at a large scale.
