Welcome Back From Image ScotlandWe hope that you enjoyed your Summer break, whatever you were up to. All the guys at Image Scotland are building up to another very busy academic year and don’t worry – we haven’t been relaxing all Summer long!

The great news is that our university and college service is bigger, better and more appealing than ever and we are delighted to introduce you to some of the positive changes to our service. Before we go on, don’t worry... all the usual popular elements of our service like free delivery and no minimum order are still in place.

Here’s what’s new for 2016/17...

New and Extended Product Ranges.

We are delighted to introduce updates to many of our existing ranges and also bring on board some brand new collections. As usual, our brochure features a snap shot of what we can offer but it is worth checking some of our new partner brands, many of whom are only visible in the catalogue. These include: the Superstar range from Mantis, the fantastic snapback cap range from Flexfit and some brand new product lines from Just Hoods by AWDis in the ever popular hoodie collection – an essential for every student.

Champion Range & Premier Range Sports Kit

Our leading innovation for 2016/17 is the introduction of our Champion Range sports leisurewear and our Premier Range bespoke team kits. The Champion Range offers sports clubs a coordinated approach to their club leisurewear. Choose from a club training top, rain jacket, tracksuit, poloshirt, t-shirt and hoodie, all manufactured in your university or club colours. Our Premier Range features team kits for virtually all sports, produced in high performance sports fabrics and in any design of your choice. As well as an introductory section in this year’s handbook, we also have a dedicated brochure for the range available in PDF format – please ask our sales team for details.

Environmental Awareness

Image Scotland continues to be aware of the environmental and ethical demands placed on our industry by you, our customer. You want to be confident that your garments are sourced and produced using certified and accredited processes and 2016/17 sees us continue to work with brands that meet our required criteria. All brands that we choose to partner all have the necessary Oko-Tex and WRAP certifications, giving you the confidence that your clothing is ethically produced. We have a complete section explaining our commitment to this important issue.

Image Scotland Website

To coincide with the start of the new academic year, we are going to be spending a lot of time updating our website. This will include the introduction of a lot of brand new products as well as a whole host of new features which will improve your online experience with Image Scotland even more. You can expect more interaction with our popular social media feeds and a company blog so you can keep up to date with all the Image Scotland news as well as a dedicated section for university students.

Sort Out Your DesignsSend over the designs that you would like to

embroider or print on your stash in as high a resolution as possible. Our design team will then

send you back on-screen graphics of what your garments will look like.

Advertise to Members

Let your members know what stash is going to be available for them to buy. Show them the graphics and any samples that you ordered. Let them know the prices and give them a date to place orders by. Compile & Place Your Order

Make a list of everything that your club or society wants. Send it over email on a spreadsheet or

something similar. Give us the names of the people who have ordered and we will “manpack”

their order.Design Approval

We will set up and sample any new designs and email them to you for final approval.

Production & Delivery

After we have final approval, production will get underway and your order should be with you within about 21 days. Remember, delivery is free of charge and can be made to the address of your

choice.

Invoicing & Payment

Paying for your stash couldn’t be easier. Your club or society has 28 days to settle your account and payment can be made by cheque, online or by direct bank transfer. If your order is to be paid through your university or college finance system, remember that you will need to provide a valid PO number at the time of order.

Image Scotland take the issue of environmental ethics in the personalised clothing and apparel industry very seriously. That’s why for 2016-17, we have gone out of our way to associate ourselves with our brand partners that adhere to the highest possible standards set by the industry.

These worldwide recognised accreditations ensure that stringent ethical standards must be met which gives you, our valued customers, confidence that practices such as child labour, unfair working conditions and environmental pollution are not used during the production of the garments advertised.

Throughout our 2016-17 University Brochure, you will see various symbols listed against many of the products listed. We thought it would be helpful to give you a background to each one.

OEKO-TEX®

OEKO-TEX® is an internationally recognised testing standard which sets minimum acceptable levels for substances which might be harmful to humans or the environment that can be used during the garment production process. It deals with the four major areas of textile ecology –

1. Disposal Ecology – recovery, recycling, disposal2. Production Ecology – operational safety, water and energy consumption, formation of dust and excessive noise3. Performance Ecology – the effects of washing and dry cleaning on the environment4. Human Ecology – the effects of chemicals on health and well being

Outwith the accreditations detailed, some of our brands also comply with the Fair Wear Foundation and have their own code of ethical standards that they adhere to. These policies can be viewed on their individual websites.

WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Apparel Production)

WRAP is an independent, objective, non profit team of social

compliance experts dedicated to promoting safe, lawful, humane and

ethical manufacturing around the world. They use a process of

certification and education and manufacturers that adopt WRAP all have to operate to

a cohesive and comprehensive code which is independently policed. WRAP sets out a number

of major principles ranging from prohibition of child and forced labour to drugs

interdiction and customs compliance. It covers laws and workplace regulations including hours or work, discrimination

and health & safety, as well standards and regulationsin relation to the environment. You can find out more about WRAP by
