    Closing Comments:

Before I make my final comments I want to

share a few pieces of wisdom that I tookfrom one of Mom's notebooks that are full

    of such gems. She writes:

"To keep your marriage cup brimming with

love, whenever you are wrong admit it,whenever you are right shut up."

On July 8, 1989 she wrote:

"We need hope and love to endure this life.

Thanks be to our Lord and Savior JesusChrist for His example, for His gospel, and

His blessed atonement. Now as then good

Samaritan, "Go and do thou likewise."

And finally she writes this little poem:I tried to find myself

    Myself I could not see

I tried to find my God

    my God eluded me

I tried to find my brotherand found all three.

And so did Mom live her life, by finding

her brother and sister and son and daughter

and serving them, she found her God.

Mark Chapter 16 begins with these eight

    verses:

1And when the sabbath was past, Mary

Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James,

and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that

they might come and anoint him.

2And very early in the morning the afirst

day of the week, they came unto thesepulchre at the brising of the sun.

3And they said among themselves, Who

shall roll us away the stone from the door of

    the sepulchre?

4aAnd when they looked, they saw that thestone was rolled away: for it was very great.

5And entering into the sepulchre, they saw

a young man sitting on the right side,a

clothed in a long white garment; and theywere baffrighted.

6And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted:

Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was

    crucified: he isa

risen; he is not here: beholdthe place where they laid him.

7But go your way, tell his disciples and

Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee:

there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.

8And they went out quickly, and fled from

the sepulchre; for they trembled and were

amazed: neither said they any thing to any

    man; for they were afraid.

The empty Tomb is proof that we will be

reunited with our dear Mother again if welive worthy of that homecoming.

In the April 2010 Conference President

Thomas S. Monson said in a talk titled "HeIs Risen!"

"We know, for we have the light of revealed

truth. For since by man came death, by

man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ

shall all be made alive. I have readand I

    believethe testimonies of those who

experienced the grief of Christs Crucifixion

and the joy of His Resurrection."

My son Alex on his mission in Orlando,

Florida wrote a beautiful email about his

Grandma, and in the interest of time I quotethe final few paragraphs. I will gladly make

the email available to all who wish to read it

    in its entirety. He writes:

"Soon after Grandpa Fullmer died Grandma

Fullmer had fallen quite ill with all manner

of problems. Her suffering of Arthritis

greatly increased. Her health started to

diminish. We were no longer able to take

care of her. She had to leave the home thatshe loved so much and she had to live in a

center that was foreign and desolate of love.

Though she had people that loved her there

and family that visited, the love that she

enjoyed with her eternal companion had

been lost. It is no wonder that she had

fallen in such a depressed condition. No

matter how much the pain or suffering, she

    endured it well.

As I thought of the condition that GrandmaFullmer was in I rejoiced in the fact that she

would no longer be in such pain. I rejoiced

in the fact that she would be reunited with

her beloved eternal companion never to be

separated again. I thought of all those that

had gone before her waiting for her on the

other side. I thought of the joy that she

must have felt. She received the Christmas

present that she had most wished for threeyears. The Lord had called her home.

I started to think about the Savior and

about all that he had done for us. I thought

of the suffering that he had gone through inthe Garden of Gethsemane. So great was

the weight of all burdens and sins that He

bled from every pore. He conquered sin

and paid the price with His precious blood

for those that he loved deeply and infinitely.

He suffered on the cross feeling the sameamount of pain that Hed had in the Garden.

He had been in such a state that he cried out

"Father why hast thou forsaken me?" He

was left all alone to suffer these things. But

on the third day He triumphantly overcamethe grave. He had been resurrected. He had

conquered sin and death. How great is my

joy in the fact that our Savior gave us this

gift, the precious gift of the Atonement andResurrection. It is because of such acts of

love that He lives and that we will all be

able to live. It is for this reason that I am

sure Grandma Fullmer is rejoicing. How

great and merciful is the plan of our Fatherin Heaven. When we cast off this frail

mortal body, we will all be able to be

reunited with Grandma and all those who

have gone before us. It is for this reason

that I find joy in this Christmas season.

Grandma Fullmer understood this and thatis why she was able to endure the pains that

she did. Her life was a life modeled after

the Savior's life. She lived to love and she

loved to live. I am grateful for the chance

that I had to be her grandson and though I

am deeply grieved by the loss I take

comfort in the fact that she is happy and that

I will see her again. It is for this reason that

all of you should be comforted. I love all ofyou and I pray that all of you may be

comforted in spite of this tragedy. Find

comfort in the Savior. He is the Great

Physician. Model your lives after His.

Endure to the end like Grandma Fullmer

did. Have joy in the Savior. May all of you

be comforted and find joy, and this I pray in
