Description of CLIL Training SessionsMacarena Navarro PabloUniversity of Seville.

    Communicative approach develops into CLIL.

Why a CLIL approach? Why should we introduce changes in the

way we are teaching our students? What are the most importantchanges CLIL might introduce in Initial and In-Service Training forPrimary Teachers? How much influence may have the communicative approach whiletrying to introduce a CLIL one?We will try to compare the training our student received so far being

immersed in what is being called a communicative approach toforeign language learning with the kind of training we want tointroduce with a CLIL approach.

Please add below any further comments that you thinkmight be helpful.

I think that more emphasis should be paid to the design

of CLIL courses: selection of objectives, types of learningand teaching activities, learner and teacher roles, andthe role of materials

Teacher training is very important for work well this typeof class.

This training should be at the university, with more realand practical subjects. There are many subjects thathave nonsense in our studies, and dont have a lot ofpractical and real subjects

For a better integration of CLIL teaching is necessary

the incorporation of new technologies such as interactivewhiteboards, loudspeaker in computers, etc. The use ofinteractive whiteboards would be a challenge in CLILteaching. Interactive whiteboards offers lots of attractiveand varied resources for pupils.
