Established in 1961, The Printing House (TPH) has grown from the originalsmall print shop in midtown Toronto to become Canada’s largest privately heldquick printing branch business. With over 60 company-owned locations inVancouver, Calgary, Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville, Toronto, Markham, Ottawa,Halifax and Dartmouth, TPH has become the company that businesses rely onfor “Need it Now”. A few years ago, TPH decided that focussing on colour is the keyto success in the new printing environment. A dedicated customerof Xerox for over 25 years, TPH was keen to see what Xerox couldoffer in digital colour production equipment. The company scru t i n i z e dX e rox digital colour devices, comparing them to other suppliers’p roduct offerings.

“Hands down, Xerox won,” said Earl O’Born, president and CEO,TPH. “The Xerox digital colour production equipment outpacedand outperformed the competition. Xerox offered TPH with theconsistent, excellent colour quality and speed we were looking for.It was an easy decision to make.”

Over the last two years, Xerox has installedDocuColor 2060 and 6060 digital colourpresses as well as DocuColor 12s all withFiery processors to handle the most complexdigital colour files. Xerox also added acombination of Document Centre 480/490sfor digital black and white printing acrossits branch network.

The DocuColor 2060 digital colour presso ffers an impressive 3,600 impressionsper hour and up to four hours of unattendedrun time. In addition, this digital productionunit continuously monitors image quality,therefore producing consistently highquality output even during long, unattendedruns.

The Xerox DocuColor 6060 is engineeredfor producing customized brochures,o n e -t o - o n e documents and other printjobs on a wide variety of paper stockswith outstanding image quality. This digitalcolour device also prints up to 3,600impressions per hour, and can run highlycomplex jobs around the clock.

speed and price-effectiveness. Sinceinstalling Xerox DocuColor 2060 and6060s, the company has seen a 57 percentincrease in production colour business.

In addition to the colour units and documentcentre printers, TPH also has extensivelydeployed Xerox DocuTech publishers withDigiPath workflow software at variousbranch locations across Canada.
