Jean Wenn Luce’s classroom involvement as a JA volunteer began in 1997.

Jean has taught many classes over the years, including Mrs. McMahan’s

Kindergarten class at Red Bank Elementary. Mrs. McMahan says, ’I cross

my fingers in hopes of having her each year. When you find someone that

clicks and enjoys twenty 5 year olds you hang on to that person. Coming

into Kindergarten to teach a lesson can be challenging as far as corralling

all that high energy, keeping their attention, listening and answering all

those little questions, that pertain to the lesson or not, and truly enjoy

being around them. The lessons are fun and she always teaches them

something they can use in their lives outside of the classroom. The children

always know without even asking, which day she comes and can’t wait to

see her. We are blessed to have her as she is just like a part of our family

here at Red Bank Elementary…that is Ms. Jean!”
