US State Incentives California


California Sales Tax Exemption for AlternativeEnergy Manufacturing Equipment

SB 71 of 2010 established an exclusion from the state's sales and use tax for the purchase ofrenewable energy equipment, combined heat and power equipment, and alternative

transportation equipment in California

Project owners will need to apply to the California Alternative Energy and AdvancedTransportation Financing Authority (CAEATFA) to receive the sales tax exclusion.

The Massachusetts Clean Energy Centers (MassCEC) Community-Scale Wind Initiativeawards grants for qualifying wind projects with a nameplate capacity greater than orequal to 100 kilowatts (kW).

A project is eligible for funding if it is located at a commercial, industrial, institutional, orpublic site, and if the electric system will be served by a Massachusetts investor-owned electricutility company or a Municipal Light Plant Department

UK Carbon Reduction Scheme


Foundation

Foundation is a carbon reduction scheme financed by the Northwest RegionalDevelopment Agency, along with private donations from businesses and individuals, which isbeing managed by Groundwork Northwest.

It will provide grants for North West of England-based charities, community groups,public sector bodies and not-for-profit organisations to carry out projects that will reduceenergy use and make significant carbon dioxide emissions savings.
