Overview:

On February 28th, 2020, Servpro Disaster Recovery Specialist were contacted to perform disinfection

services for a Positive COVID-19 Case and biohazard disposal at Forest Hills Elementary School, Lake Oswego

OR. The following document will outline Servpro’s current scope of work and protocol utilized to complete the

scope of work.

This scope of work is based of our experience working with COVID-19 in conjunction with CDC and HHS

at all of the Quarantine sites in the United States.

Scope of work for Bio-cleaning Services:

Dis-infection of specified facility. This includes disinfection of all hard contact surfaces in facility (Bathrooms,

doors, door jambs, windowsills, desks, chairs, counter tops, etc.)

Removal and proper disposal of all contaminated items (cleaning towels, disposable PPE, etc.).

All Bio-Hazard material removed and disposed of according to local regulations.

Observe all C.D.C. recommendations for limiting transmission of infectious agents.

Observe all required P.P.E. for specified cleaning scenarios.

NO CLEANING OF HVAC SYSTEM AS THIS IS NOT CURRENTLY RECOMMENDED BY CDC.

Procedure for decontamination and pre-cleaning:

Bio-technicians inspect all personal protective equipment before entering structure.

Apply Benefect Decon 30 Disinfectant in accordance with label directions. Decon 30 can used as a one-step

Cleaner and Disinfectant if surfaces are not overly dirty. Decon 30 is a registered hospital disinfectant with the

Federal Government (US EPA #84683-3-74771 / Health Canada DIN #02415046). No rinsing or wiping is

required after application due to the safety profile of the botanical ingredients in Decon 30. Once a surface has

been decontaminated it will air dry to a sanitary state.

Bio-technicians discard all P.P.E. and consumables used to clean contaminated areas in applicable biohazard

disposable bags.

Bags are transported off site by trained personnel.

“Benefect Decon 30” has demonstrated effectiveness against viruses similar to 2019-nCoV on hard non-porous

surfaces. Therefore, this product can be used against 2019-nCoV when used in accordance with the directions for

use against Influenza A Avian on hard, non-porous surfaces.”

P.P.E. procedure for Bio-Technicians:

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements for Disinfecting (Positive COVID-19 in Building)

N-95 Disposable Respirator

6-mil nitrile long cuff glove (Orange – Inner Glove)

4-mil nitrile standard cuff glove (blue – Outer Glove)

outer glove if it becomes damaged or contaminated. Outer gloves are to be frequently changed during the work

period.

a. Blue 4-mil nitrile standard cuff glove.

1. Disinfect your outer gloves (blue gloves)

a. Use Benefect Decon 30 to Disinfect with. 2. Remove your outer gloves, leaving your inner gloves on. Be careful not to snap your gloves during the removal

process, which could cause contamination to splatter.

Botanical Decon30 Disinfectant: Efficacy By Organism Class

All disinfectants need to be registered by the EPA to make public germ‐killing claims. They all must submit successful data showing kills over 99.99% against specific organisms within a standard contact time of 10 minutes. The EPA identifies particular organisms as representatives of their entire class of organism to optimize the testing process & avoid having to test every single organism within a class.
