based company, founded in

1928.

CLdN, formerly known as Cobelfret,

is a multimodal transportation and

logistics company. Core activities of

the Group include worldwide bulk

shipping (deepsea), European ro-ro

shipping (shortsea), European port

operations and European door-to-

door services.

In the European market the group

operates 25 modern ro-ro/lo-lo

vessels, and utilises an owned fleet

of over 3,500 45’ HCPW containers

and 1,250 trailers providing door-to

-door services. We operate a fleet

of modern river barges on the

inland waterways of Europe and

make use of the extensive rail

network providing true multimodal

solutions.

Operating ro-ro vessels we also

specialise in project, high & heavy

and rolling cargoes throughout

Europe (and worldwide through

our extensive partner network).

We have offices and port

operations in Holland, Belgium,

Denmark, France, Germany,

Ireland, Luxembourg, Portugal,

Spain, Sweden, and in the UK.

Cargo is an asset based operator

split into three business units:

Containers, Trailers and Forwarding,

providing services worldwide.

Operating over 3,500 45’ containers,

500 Tautliners (CODE XL) and 750

Huckepack trailers, our fleet

combines capacity with flexibility,

and whether a one-off load or a

50,000 tons contract CLdN Cargo are

able to deliver.

Utilising our own equipment allows

us to remain in total control during

the whole transit process, from first

loading to final delivery. Many of our

units are now fitted with GPS

tracking which permits real time

reporting, and reliability and peace

of mind for our customers.

INTERMODAL SOLUTIONS

CLdN Cargo focuses on inter-

modal activities.

We are increasingly using multiple

modes of transportation for door-to-

door movements. There is no longer

the need to handle the freight itself

when switching transport modes. We

transport via truck (road), ferries

(water) and train (rail), and have

seen significant growth in this sector.

We have seen a large increase in our

volumes moving by rail, and are

transporting many loads to and from

Italy, Germany, Poland, France,

Turkey as well as domestically in

Ireland by train.

Intermodal services are provided

when the route, price, frequency and

transit can be effective and competi-

tive.
