Mrs. Gray’s CLASSROOM news SEPTEMBER Birthday’s Week in Review: Specials Rotation for the Week of September 5th Sneak Peak at Next Week Upcoming Events: Wednesday, September 7 th – Fall Pictures Friday, September 23 rd – No School (Teacher In-service) Monday: Library Tuesday: Art Wednesday: Music Thursday: Gym Friday: Library This week we learned each other’s name with the help of Chicka Chicka Boom Boom! We were introduced to our first two rainbow words – me and my. We also learned how to draw a person using mat man, which are foundational writing skills through our program “Handwriting Without Tears.” We made a coconut book that matched numbers to object 1-5. We made two class books about who is in our room and one that shares what we are good at. We sorted items by color, item, and size. We loved beginning our group time when we work as a team and rotate through tasks! Reminders: Please check your child’s book bag for their take home folder daily. Please check your child’s lunch account balance. Theme for the Week: Family & Friends Letter of the Week: F f Math: Sorting and Patterns Science/Social Studies: Traits of a good friend and citizen.
