The observer give thanks to God that we can finish our project assignment about

“classroom management” in kindergarten level. This observation is held to know the way to

manage the activities in the class. This observation is also held to accomplish the assignment

of Curriculum Material Development (CMD) lesson. In this case, the observers focus on the

kindergarten classroom management. In this observation the observers get some helps from

some people. So, the observers want to say thanks to all of the people who help us in doing

this observation.

The observers consider that this observation is not a perfect one. That’s why we need

some critics and suggestion from the readers especially our lecturer to make this report better.

BACKGROUND

Kindergarten teachers know that the trick to have a great year is having a great system

for classroom management. Teachers have to look for an innovative and fun way to

encourage good behavior in the class especially in the Kindergarten level. To ensure that each

child has a pleasant, positive learning experience, a classroom management plan for

Kindergarten has been developed. Every child deserves to learn in an environment that allows

learning. Classroom management will help insure control in the learning environment.

BENEFIT AND PURPOSE

This observation has a good purpose and can help the student teacher know how to

manage a classroom well. This observation can be a good input for teachers as a good

learning to create an innovative and fun learning environment. The benefit of this observation

is that it is a good thing to improve the quality of students-teacher in preparing their class.

OBJECTIVITY

The main objectivity of this observation is to know how to manage a class in

kindergarten. As we know that, it is not easy to make a kid interested in a class. In children

under five, that’s the time for them to play. So, the teachers have to know how to invite the

kid to play while study.

OBSERVATION TIME

This observation is held in “YAYASAN PENDIDIKAN TAMAN KANAK-KANAK

ANANDA Jl. Suluh No. 129-A on Friday, November 5th 2010. This observation is started

from the beginning of the class (08.00 am-11.00 am WIB).

RESULT

There are 15 students and 3 teachers in a class. Before entering the class, all of the

students put their bags in the shelves and then form a line. The teachers greet the students,

and then they are singing, saying students’ promises and praying for 25 minutes. After that

they enter the class while shake the teacher’s hand. In the class they are singing some songs

again. The teacher divides the students into three groups and then takes the attendance of the

students. The students take their books and the stationary from the shelves. The teacher

explains the subject today. Every day the students get different subject according to the time

table (enclosed). They also wear different uniform everyday. Every Monday and Tuesday,

they wear green uniform. On Wednesday and Thursday they wear checkered pattern uniform.

On Friday they wear Muslim dress. On Saturday they wear sport uniform. A teacher explains

the subject in front of the class and two others teachers check and control the students in the

class.

The class is decorated by so many pictures, games, list of the alphabet, list of the

numbers, plants, animals, origami, etc. All of these make the students are interested in study

in the class.

In the pause time, the students are allowed to play in the yard. There are so many

games there. They are swing, bop up and down, and tunnel. The students looked so happy.

There are some school’s rules that the students need to obey (enclosed).

CONCLUSION

From this observation, we can conclude that in teaching students in kindergarten

level, the teachers need to attract the students to study while play. The teachers have to know

how to make the students feel comfort in learning environment. The kindergarten teachers

must be patient to teach them. The teachers always control the students while they are study

and play games.

CLOSINGS

Thus our observation is reported. The observers’ hope that this observation is

beneficial as input for the students-teacher in managing the class especially in the level of

kindergarten.
