Introduction Aviat Networks supports its telecommunications systems with a comprehensive, cost-effective customer-training program. Our instructors provide courses in microwave radio, light-wave, multiplex system operation designed to maximize product performance and minimize maintenance costs. Wide varieties of courses are available and may address generic as well as proprietary telecommunications subjects relate to our equipment. In addition we supply microwave system design and transmission engineering training. Instructors use a variety of presentation techniques and materials in courses from introductory seminars to detailed hands-on product training. Our staff combines years of experience in the field and classroom training from hundreds of companies around the world on the full spectrum of our products and services. The customer education program is designed to give customers the knowledge and skills to maintain and operate their systems at peak operating efficiency. Training can be conducted in several languages, including English, Spanish, Chinese, French, Portuguese and Russian. Interpreters are used as required. Training in other languages may be arranged to meet your needs. We can provide customized training to meet your needs. Classes can be provided at facilities worldwide or at your location. Over 50,000 people have been trained and Over 30 different courses are offered covering the full spectrum of Aviat Networks products and other manufacturer’s equipment. Training courses cover:

Objectives and Purposes Provide to the customers of Aviat Networks an efficient tool too: Clearly understand the purpose and scope of each course to ensure that instruction meets

requirements. Develop training paths for personnel

Course Offerings Aviat Networks offers two types of classes:

On Site Field Schools: Classes organized specifically for one customer with emphasis on the specific equipment purchased by the customer. These courses can be held at your location or at one of the Aviat Networks Training and Education Centers. When classes are conducted at customer’s site the customer is responsible for facilities, multimedia projector, test equipment, computers (if required) and operational traffic free equipment for the hands on portion of the class. For class specific equipment lists please contact one of our Training coordinators. Each participant of field school obtains: Product manuals on soft copy and student guide for all participants. Certificates of completion for all participants.

Open Enrolments Courses: Technical training offers regularly scheduled courses on most of its current products. Courses are given at one of the Training and Education Centers; with dates set at least six (6) months in advance for your scheduling convenience. Open enrolment sessions are priced "per participant." The participant for each course will obtain: The comprehensive products documentation manual on soft copy Student guide in hard copy A certificate of completion.

Class size limited, to ensure proper attention to each participant; class size is limited to 8, 10 or 12 students. Please refer to the open enrolment calendar in our web site for dates and locations of courses to be held.

Course Registration To order training or schedule a training class, please choose one of these three options. Option 1 Submit to your sales representative or program manager the necessary information such as your Purchase order and or Letter of Credit for processing. Customer Training will contact you shortly thereafter to confirm the training course details and schedule.

Customer Training Policy

Training Policy

1. Prices for all Training Courses and Services are in USD unless noted otherwise.

2. Class size for most courses will be limited 12 students maximum. For FarScan, StarView and ProVision courses the limit is 8. For NetBoss field class the limit is 6 unless specified otherwise.

3. Aviat Networks provides product manuals and student handbooks for each student.

4. Courses are written and delivered in English unless specified otherwise.

5. A method of payment (Purchase Order, Credit Card, or Wire Transfer) is required to confirm registration.

6. Pre-schedule/Open Enrollment Class: • Scheduled according to web calendar, priced per person. Customers are responsible for all personal

expenses while attending training. • All Pre-scheduled open enrollment classes can be canceled or postponed at the discretion of AVIAT.

Every effort will be made to notify customers within 3 weeks of course start date. • AVIAT is not responsible for any travel expenses due to the cancellation of a course. • A cancellation/reschedule fee of 25% will be applied if a customer cancels a scheduled class

or reservation in a pre-scheduled class within two weeks of the scheduled date. • A cancellation/reschedule fee of 100% will be applied if a customer cancels a scheduled class

or reservation in a pre-scheduled class within one week of the scheduled date.

7. Training Center Customer Dedicated Class: • Scheduled according to mutually agreeable dates between customer & AVIAT. • Conducted at AVIAT Training and Education Center for up to 12 students. • Customers are responsible for all personal expenses while attending training at an AVIAT location. • If customer cancel's course within 2 weeks of scheduled delivery date they will be charged a 25%

cancellation/reschedule fee. 8. On Site Customer Specific Field Class:

• Training to be delivered at customer designated site. • Customer must supply equipment for hands on and labs according to class requirements. AVIAT may

provide equipment based on availability (extra charges may apply). • Dates for field training must be requested a minimum of 30 days in advance. • Training dates are established on mutually agreeable dates between the customer & AVIAT and

cannot be confirmed until all documentation is completed and PO is received. • If customer cancel's course within 3 weeks of scheduled delivery date they will be will be charged a

25% cancellation/reschedule fee. • If customer cancel's course within 2 weeks of scheduled delivery date they will be will be charged a

50% cancellation/reschedule fee. • If customer cancel's course within 1 week of scheduled delivery date they will be will be charged a

75% cancellation/reschedule fee. • Training delivery and on-site delivery fees will be based on region (location) of delivery site.

9. All Quoted prices are valid for a period of ninety (90) days.

10. Courses cannot be filmed, videotaped or recorded.

11. Students attending courses are responsible for arranging for their meals, accommodations and transportation. AVIAT Networks, Customer Training cannot accept responsibilities for transport, accommodations or per-diem allocation.

12. Foreign students are responsible for completing and returning the Aviat Networks Foreign National Notification form prior to attend training. Failure to do so may impair the student capability to enter the training center.

13. An attendance of 100% is required of each student to complete the course and to be awarded a certificate of completion.

14. Training under Aviat Networks major sales orders must be used within the twelve months following the equipment delivery.

15. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all Aviat Networks facilities. Smoking is allowed only in designated smoking area.

16. Students must wear their issued Identification badge in clear view at all times while visiting Aviat Networks.

17. Aviat Networks has adopted business casual dress and we appreciate your cooperation. Shorts & open toed shoes are strictly prohibited. Our number one concern is visitor safety and compliance with OSHA regulations.
